when WCW started getting beat in ratings was there any discussion of putting Nitro on a different night? They did for Thunder

That suggestion might have been tossed around but it wouldve been waving a white flag. 1999-2001 WCW was so bad, the show and ratings were going to suck no matter what night Nitro was going to be on.

i said it back then, it would def hav helped some. then people didnt hav to choose between the 2 and the better wwf option.
then its another night people get to watch wresting and may hv tuned in more!

It's hard to know but audiences were sick of the swerves...Superbrawl IX did a powerful buyrate but it'd be their last.

Its interesting to look back on...but when you read Guy Evans book? Its pretty plain to see that WB wanted no part of wrestling even if it was doing ok.

Honestly, I don’t think Time/Warner cared. Regardless of whether WCW was doing good or bad, they just didn’t care to have wrestling on their network regardless of the night it was on.
Hell, even before the merger Bischoff has said that the writing was on the wall that Ted was the only “corporate head” that cared for it. Nobody else gave a damn about WCW or wrestling in general.
