question: how is it possible for Mat Maniacs to have access to make the likeness of all these classic superstars when other retro companies have such a limited or separate list of wrestling stars from the mainstream legends? Like it was mentioned above, they're releasing classic Steiner brothers before Mattel. Not complaining but just curious. Is it because it's hyper-animated or something? I know they are about 2" bigger than these guys, but the remind me of the masters of the universe minis:  Who said he has the license to any of those guys besides the two teams they announced today. I think he was just making these for his own personal use up until now. |

Recently they posted another scale render and I commented that it was getting a little confusing. Didnt want to sound like a jerk because the art is cool as hell but the digital images really didn’t serve a purpose or show us anything different/new. God Im all over this if all is true! Like seriously will condense my retros if they deliver on this hype - I love this art style, but I worry about the access to licensable names like in his personal collection - I want it all, WWF, NWA/WCW.
It’s the price point that will be the biggest factor. I thought I read somewhere 30 pounds which is like $53 CAD…that’s tough

Yeah I also love the art style but since its such a different take, this isnt a "complete my hasbro collection" sort of thing. These would really have to stand on their own, so it will be interesting to see what kind of names they'll be able to secure.

No idea what they are working with budget-wise but we know that guys like Bulldog and Macho have not been exclusive. It’s also unknown what kind of agreements exist as far as having the rights to a certain kind of style or size of figure. These aren’t Hasbro style exactly but they are going to be nearly identical in size. Guess it comes down to how it is written and if a figure company wants to challenge it.

These look cool but that scott steiner head is absolutely horrendous. I get that these are supposed to be cartooish but it looks like some random wrestling jobber. At least the other 3 resemble who they are supposed to be. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet

I’d imagine given the amount of companies that have gotten to make Andre, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him eventually. Other names they’ve made renders/3D printed versions of that we’ve seen in independent lines as of late:

So I guess it’s all dependent on who they get to work with. I’m excited to see what all they come up with.

These look cool but that scott steiner head is absolutely horrendous. I get that these are supposed to be cartooish but it looks like some random wrestling jobber. At least the other 3 resemble who they are supposed to be. Surprised no one has mentioned this yet I wouldn't say its horrendous but, I would agree that there isn't any semblance of a likeness, I dont see Scott Steiner anywhere in that stylization. Take the head out of context and it could just as well be Tito Santana. |

Follow the page and love the work. My concern is how fragile they are. He has posted many times how easily they break apart. Maybe he has found a new way or they are being professionally manufactured now in that style? Most 3D printed resins are brittle that's why they break easily. Professional toy makers use SLA printers for rapid prototyping. The printed models can be used as "paint masters" and/or display piece. The 3d printed figures are never used for mass production (too long to print, too brittle), only the 3d files are sent to the manufacturer. The 3d files are then used to make the "tooling" (CNC machined metal molds) for the plastic injection machines (3d printed molds would never support the pressure of an industrial injection machine). They will likely get them made in China like everyone else to save on cost and manpower allowing for a more competitive price. Based on their current design setup (Formlabs printer: 5000$min, Cinema4D: 100$/month, good animator, good modeler (priceless!), etc...), I am confident they have the budget to produce good quality figures. Personally I think they have a cool and refreshing design style, only the future will tell if they are up to the task. |

Tbh I think these look great and would even mix well with the Hasbro style, personally. I'd be up for a few of these, providing, as usual, availability and pricing. |

All in all I reckon these will be a welcome addition, and hopefully he gets some interesting signings. Would love to see Vader in this style. |

Pretty hefty, I'd be interested in seeing the UK price. It's good that R&R are getting them, though. They're not on there currently, is there a release date I'm missing? |

Essentially $33 a piece which isn’t horrible, but will be too high for some. Hopefully they hit the numbers they are expecting to ensure more releases.

I'd have liked to have seen Scott in a different attire, as that's his Hasbro attire, and isn't too far removed from his UK Galoob attire. As has been mentioned, his head and face isn't a great likeness, either.
LOD and Rick look great.
