hard to beat 1989 for me...it was my 1st full year and quite honestly? its still HUGE quality wise.
Mega Powers breakup...
White hot babyface roster: Hogan, Demolition, Warrior, Jake, Beefcake, Rockers, Dusty, Duggan.
crazy over heel roster: Savage, Rude, Andre, Perfect, Brainbusters, Honky, Bravo, Dibiase, Twin Towers, Brown
as I say? Hard to beat....
Honorable mentions to 1997 & 1998.

It’s hard for me to go against 1998, my first full year as a fan. I rewatched all the RAWs and PPVs last year and it’s just so much fun. Austin’s rise. McMahon’s descent into madness doing everything he can to stop Austin. Foley becoming immortal. The Rock becoming a top guy. Hell of an undercard. A lot of just ridiculous stop on top of it all.
A strong contender for second might be 2018, NXT. The main roster didn’t do a whole lot for me but watching Ciampa/Gargano/Cole/Black/Bazler amongst others just continuously kill it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had watching wrestling.

97 for WWF was amazing. Austin, Heel HBK, DX formed, Heel Bret, Vince, Kane debut, Foley doing his thing, Owen doing his thing, Bulldog, Sid, Nation of Dominnation etc.

1989 for me as well. Started watching WWF in 92 but the first full year I dipped in to was 89. I remember the excitement of getting all the PPV’s on video.

Probably 1991 for the full year, but if I could cheat slightly I'd tip the cycle slightly to include the 1992 Rumble: so the "year" from WM7 to Rumble 1992.. or, on other days, from Summerslam 91 to WM8. I can never quite pinpoint which of WM7 or 8 I like more overall.

I guess it would be 89 for me. I would like to say ‘90 but that was the year my dad past in March so it wasn’t the same.

1990 is my favorite because everything was centered around Warrior. But over the years I have really grown fond of 1993 because that was the time period where I truly started to appreciate wrestling in a different way. Like, it was around that time that I anticipated things like the Rumble & WrestleMania, I looked forward to getting a WWF ice cream bar, I picked out my own wrestling figures.
1990 was how wrestling was introduced to me and to this day it’s my favorite. I didn’t know anything else, so by 1993 I almost had the beginnings of nostalgia for what I first experienced with wrestling but at a REALLY young age, wrestling was just like my parents saying, here’s a new toy. We’re gonna watch wrestling etc. by 1993, I was choosing to do it because I loved it if that makes sense. I chose which toy to get, what show to watch etc. This was also the time period I attended my first wrestling events.
Also, around this time of year, I have such an affinity for the Lex Express era. I watch the Body Slam contest every year on July 4th haha. I really love this era.
