WWE's production values have improved greatly. I was watching the King/Queen of the Ring & marveled at some of the cool camera angles, the HD looked sharper than ever, and did they finally get rid of a lot of that CGI crap that clogged up the screen during entrances? The WWE looks better than ever.
But I miss the "old school" music montages.... I always felt that they gave the WWE "heart"..... they were often my most favorite thing that WWE did. They don't do them quite as often or as "heartfelt" as they used to..... I wish they'd bring back this amazing piece that always hooked me in to any wrestler or feud....
Lately, it only seems like we get the "good montages" when a Legend dies.... and if I'm being honest, it doesn't even seem like WWE does THOSE as good as they used to. Probably due to music rights, but last few years it seems like they just play generic instrumental music. It used to be that when a Legend passed away, they got an actual SONG dedicated to their memory! Maybe I'm just too sentimental, but that seemed important to me.
Let's share some of our favorite "Classic Montages".... I'll start with the original, maybe the greatest one they ever did! "Lonely Road of Faith" chronicling the history of WWE.....

I'll also go second.... LOVED the "Cocky" video they did for Ric Flair when he returned to the WWE, oh around 2002-ish? This is fantastic.

Their tribute to Rowdy Roddy Piper was also one of the best I've ever seen. Hard not to get teary-eyed on this!

And I think this one hits us all..... one of the first ones I think of when I think about those 90's montages....

Hogan has also gotten some 4-Star montages over the years!

Lonely Road of Faith is a favorite of mine. Masterful edit when it goes upbeat & switches to the attitude era 👏👏
