crazy it's been 18 years since it debuted. I remember being so excited, constantly checking Lordsofpain.net seeing all the signings and everything. Thinking ECW was back!!!
I remember One Night Stand2 being a huge disappointment, I should have known then
December to Dismember was a chore to get through.
It realy felt like it was Vince's way of saying "you want ECW back? HERE YA GO PAL!"

I have a weird soft spot for WWECW for some reason. I don't know why. I enjoyed some of it, but man that show should have been so much more. Big Show's spot should have gone to Mike Awesome (Maybe he would still be with us.) and they should have had the television title back aswell to build a solid midcard.

I was never interested in it. I liked the 2 ONS PPVs but I never felt that it was going to translate well onto weekly TV if that makes sense? I used to tune in to see Punk when he was getting pushed though...

As an ECW show it was awful but as a WWE show it was awesome.
A lot of good stuff went on like Christians title run, his feud with Swagger and Punk's run.

At that time I was hosting an AOL chat every night lol, and one of the regulars, his name was Kidgone, kept saying with EXTREME certainty, this will suck. It wonβt be ECW.
And I could not have been more ignorant at the time thinking, why would they bring it back if it wasnβt going to be ECW? and ONS was a great ECW show so I had faith that they understood how to let ECW be ECWβ¦.and then ONS2 happened and I apologized haha.
And while I actually REALLY like ONS2 as a WWE show, it was clearly a neutered version of ECW. I do like the dynamic of seeing WWE guys operate in an ECW setting, but it literally took one episode of ECW on Sci-Fy to see that this wasnβt going to be ECW.
