I’m in my late 30s so this is my 3rd time collecting, first was all the way back in the wwf hasbro days, then wwe jakks pacific around the ruthless aggression days, now I’m on the Mattel elites and ultimates, must say I’m loving the quality these days!!
I’m shopping in store only so my wife doesn’t see my credit card statements. I’m finding it quite a struggle though, anyone know the best days for restocks in Target or Walmart? I live in Los Angeles so there are plenty to chose from.
In the last month I’ve only been able to scoop 6 elites and 1 ultimate, so need some tips for best times going please wf community!

I think the best day usually depends on your store. For a long time my Target was M,W,F. While some of my out of town stores had toys arriving the other days. Unfortunately, you have to go practically everyday to see if there are new figures. You can always ask an employee which days are best, but good luck finding someone knowledgeable. My Target is now a disaster and I usually have to ask for things or else they stay in the backroom.

It’s always a luck of the draw to figure out when the stores will get something in. Sometimes they go weeks with nothing coming in. Then other times they get the same thing over and over. Walmart around here still has yet to get Monday Wars Series 2 or any Elites in a while.
The biggest problem I have with Target is when they get something new they only want to put one or two out at a time then the next day they will put the next ones out despite there being nothing on the shelves for weeks.

I generally try to get to Walmart(s) when they open at 6am. That's been the best time for me to find stuff - even though finding stuff at Walmart is RARE....
Don't be surprised to see your Walmart go up to 4 months without getting anything significant or new. It can be very frustrating.
Some stores stock better than others - there's one Walmart that I don't even check anymore, as they might get stock (a little bit) twice a year. The shelves just run empty the rest of the year. I've sent complaints and nothing has changed. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a Walmart in your area that sometimes gets stuff in.
Target Legends generally have a street date, for the current set that came out 4/28, most stores didn't put them on shelves the first few days - the best way to get them was to do "in-store" pickup. After a week or so they were fairly well-stocked on shelves. If Target Legends linger, they are typically discounted down to $13 and sometimes even $6. This usually happens close to two months after they are released (when the next set is about to come out).
Don't forget to check your local Ollie's Bargain outlet (or other bargain stores) we've found some real treasures (at a deep discount) at those places over the last year. Right Now, Ollie's has Superstar Ric Flairs by the dozen for $3.99, you might still find some Superstars Hollywood Hogans for that price too. We're also seeing the Target "Then, Now, Forever" 4-pack showing up at Ollie's for $29.99 (which is a great price for this).
Walmart starts rolling the next day's pallets out around 9pm..... they are generally open til 11pm. If you get there around 9:30 - 10:00pm you can see what's on the pallets and reasonably expect them to be out on shelves the next morning (but not always). If there's no WWE/Mattel boxes on the pallets (most of the time), you can safely assume there will be no new stock on shelves the following day.
I don't know if other people do this - but when I'm at a store (Target, Walmart) and they've put all kinds of other stupid toys on the WWE pegs to make them appear FULL - I clear them off and put them back where they belong so that the WWE pegs are EMPTY. It hasn't really worked, but my hope is that someone will notice these toys are OUT OF STOCK and do SOMETHING to get more in. But I don't think they should be putting Silly Putty and Pokemon crap on the WWE Monday Night Wars pegs just so that it looks like these shelves aren't bare as hell. I also have been known to put all the Basics back on the Basics pegs - they like to "spread out" the Basics across all the pegs so that it looks like they have more figures than they do. I think I do a better job organizing their shelves than the employees do.

I’m gonna hit walmarts and targets early doors then, sounds like a good idea! Was wondering when they fill the shelves but you answered that one for me nicely.
There’s a Walmart near me just like you mentioned, terrible! May as well be spiderwebs on the pegs.
Talking about legends, damn, that series 22 I think it is with Japanese hogan, sultan etc is down to $13 around these ways and seems nobody is touching them at all.
Next day I’ve got off I’m just gonna get Matt Riddled and take a lap around the county and see what I can find 🤞

1. Part part of LA are you in? I might have some tips for you depending.
2. There's a SoCal Figure Finding threat that might help.
3. Where do you keep these so your wife doesn't see you have them? Or do you just not want her to see the price lol

Poor distribution/store ordering makes in store buying suck ass
If you want to know the dates of restocks you should ask store employees but also that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll get in figures those days, but they should be able to tell you the day(s) they get their trucks in.

I use Amazon for most main line elites and Ultimates, but will check these forums/instagram to see when stuff starts hitting and usually wait a week or two to hunt because I’m in the middle of the country. Stuff like Ringside exclusives you’re gonna have to throw some cash on a visa gift card or something idk, not married.
