This blows my mind as Legends are easily the hardest to get line here in Australia. No retail options; importers are closing in on $100 per fig; Amazon rarely offers them and they're coming from US third parties, so when they do they're always double the price of regular Elites and randomly they'll be easily obtainable (eg. Acolyte Bradshaw is easy to get off Amazon for an Elite price, but good luck getting Acolyte Farooq).
Being someone who grew up when all these Legends were in their prime, it pains me that I can't obtain them all unless I overpay tremendously. I got the recent Captain Lou but it cost me big $$ and I can't justify it for extra Hogans who look cool or figures like the Sultan who are more of the deep cuts. I have to prioritise. :/

I'm hoping they can lock in a Tazz figure like they do Billy Gunn and Jake the Snake.
Or even new guys like Val Venis, Ahmed Johnson or Buff Bagwell.

We can all obviously argue about what talent should be released, or that there are too many of a certain character, but Target is on the money in terms of availability. Sometimes it seems like they take forever to actually ship online preorders, but you always get them. They run frequent sales, and have always been willing to price match for me when they go on sale before shipping.
from a collector friendly standpoint, they cant be beat

There’s so many cool attires and entrance gear we could get. As far as Target goes, I agree with you. I said it best yesterday. They usually have what I want in stock, shipping is fast and they have great sales.

I respect you, but disagree. LJN all the way for me (completely biased as a child of the 80’s, of course).

As initially stated I’m mainly talking about the ease of collecting for primarily US collectors since the relaunch of the line after their rough patch. The line as it exists today is easily the best collector friendly line there has ever been.

I read it just now 6 times in a row.

Everything I referenced was clearly with the US collector in mind but thought it might’ve needed clarification.

As a specific collector, this line is suited for me. It’s already provided me with Ken Shamrock and ‘86/‘87/‘88 Golden Era figures. And while I never found the chase Shamrock, someone else did and was kind enough to grab it. Everything you said about the line is true.

Ultimate edition for me My favorite wrestling line of all time by a country mile If you’re talking about just the main line then sure. Otherwise, it’s definitely not the most collector friendly line. 3 of em required you to back a $250 crowdfund. Many missed out on Sarge, not to mention that the chase was a crap shoot for those who were able to get an order in. Also tying a chase to Coliseum Collection forcing collectors to buy multiples and still no guarantee if they’ll ever get the black cards. Plus all the ones exclusive to Walmart that haven’t been that easy to find for many as well.

Ultimate edition for me My favorite wrestling line of all time by a country mile Same You know, honestly, if we're going by "Favorite Lines", yeah, I love the Ultimate Edition figures. Get so excited when someone I love is getting one and, yeah, the Sami and Kevin ones required fixing up, but still. If for no other reason having one figure come with three heads, multiple hands, and sometimes extra parts and multiple belts, I literally bought a loose Sami ultimate at one point, without belts, just for the heads and other parts. May do that again, and also considering grabbing another Kevin for the same reason.

Ultimate for me just because they never skimp entrance attire but Legends is amazing. By me very easy to find at Target and at times I’m almost surprised at how obscure some figures are that Mattel can sell at retail. They’re clearly pushing it as hard as they can with the roster of talent available. Who knows how long it’ll last but there will prob be a point that we miss this line
