Hey there, haven't been on here in ages.... but I don't know where else to go, since the information on Bend-Ems on the internet is a little touch and go. I mean, I know the series w/ Tazz, STH, GMS, etc. was/is probably the scarcest and finding one MOC now is the true grail...
But I've heard of this micro Cactud Jack figure (loose obviously, as it came in a ring set and only briefly I would guess?) being the "holy grail" and such... But I would feel like I could find more info on what the going price actually is- not what one rando is selling it for on eBay.
I have an avenue to purchase one for a very, very reasonable price. It is in fair condition. Nothing too bad, but one paint blemish on the hair but it's small.
I am just kind of curious if this figure is truly as rare as I've heard it is, and if it is, would a $25-30 investment that could turn into a fli for more-- or a nice piece for my own Bend-Ems collections (which is very fluid; I sell and trade them for others a lot... they're just things my buddy and I put on the coffee table because we like the weirder figures for decorations) worth doing? I kind of want to jump on it if it truly is as rare as I've heard. I just know it popped up in some of those ring sets with "The Interrogator" and others in '98ish but yet, even on some really good bend-ems sites or sites which document their timeline, they don't even show his figure among micro bend-ems. So it has me wondering just how many even came out approximately? What's the true going rate for me? Some eBay user has one up for 2k and has 15 watchers, but I doubt in a million years that it would sell... I have realistic expectations, and even making $50 on a flip is a win for me.
Anyway, I'm curious about this figure. I collect Bend-ems and trade/sell only to buy other ones i find cheap and just randomly have 10-20 of them on hand.... but I have started to buy certain ones. I want to repurchase the Socko mankind and a regular-sized Cactus Jack since i want all of the Mick Foley bend-ems, and if this micro is as rare as it could be, I want to probably jump onit even though I should be watching my finances a bit.....
I did find one thread about this figure (yes, I did do a search!) but it was from 2013, and people were actually questioning if it could be a custom.... I know it's real, but I just don't knoww about hwo many were made, how long it was in those packs for, etc.... Any help in that area as well as pinning down a price-point for one of them or something in the ballpark range would be amazing help. Sorry this is so long... Excited to find it... but cautiously wondering if it may not be what I thought it was worth.
