Heh, another blue chase I have no intention of finding. The regular DDP is great, this look is wildly underrepresented in the line for whatever reason. Hopefully not the last one we get (or a UE would suffice). Also very happy to get an updated Bossman, one of my favorites.

I haven't had problems with whatever rubber they used for the singlets - the E98 Rick Boogs and Legends 20 Hennig have held up fine. It's the junk used for E93 Rollins and
E97 Ronda that just falls completely apart. I'm probably throwing the nWo tank on Hennig here anyway.

I'm fine with the BAF figures being somewhat simple. Imagine that means we get better soft goods like in this wave and the next one!

This is probably the best set so far, this is the first time I felt like I wanted all 4 figures and the build a figure

The problem is I’ll never be able to find any of them

I'll get DDPed for sure, Double Dose of Problematic, of finding these.

Is bossman just a re-release of his previous elite in this attire?

No. E47A had black wrist tape and black gloved hands. Also came with sunglasses. Plus this fig has normal upgrades with modern figures like true FX, double joints, etc.

wow. the rubber top on hennig again. why? im 10000% sure we as a community poo-poo'ed the idea of rubber tops. candidly speaking im really getting burned out as a collector with all of these erroneous design choices. ive said it before in my reviews, mattel is consistently ONE DETAIL away from making every figure a perfect figure. either they give them the wrong boots, the wrong hands, a sub par headsculpt, a 10+ year old shoe mold that never worked in the first place, the wrong torso, the list is what some might call endless...

i can see it now: "oh well we read into the conversation of you guys saying the sculpted singlet torso is too thin for mr perfect. so we moved to a bigger torso with rubber top becuase we dont have a sculpted singlet top that works for him right now." hey thanks guys in 5 years when all of these rubber tops start disintegrating and shoulder straps start snapping like crazy----oh wait no nevermind BY THEN, they'll have a new sculpted torso ready making these current figures obselete in some what/shape/fashion/form, and THIS ONE will have been re-released in the greatest hits line with said upgrades. gotcha. business model = understood.

and also kinda straight up re-releasing a figure that is required to get a new BAF is just crappy business IMO. like yeah we can play the card that "Bossman was prominent in the MNW and his figure came out years ago and lots of new collectors missed out on him, he is due for an update blahblahblahblah" but lets not potentially FORCE people to re-buy a figure they may already have thats pretty shallow thinking.



EDIT: i want to clarify---it sounds like im whining im actually excited to get SCSA in black jorts, DDP in jeans and a new commissioner HBK BAF. dreading the hoops to jump through to get these and if im going through all of the effort to collect these figures i want my efforts to be worth it. im not excited about the idea of slamming 100 wal mart trips into my schedule to lock in a MR. Perfect figure with a rubber top and a Bossman figure i already have just to get a chance to own important figures to my most favorite era of wrestling.

Could someone explain what’s going on with Mr.Perfect’s neck in the second picture? Kind of reminds me of the goombas from the original Super Mario movie with a mixture of a mom who got out of a swimming pool.

I don't honestly think it matters a whole lot, I usually check the local stores on/around Black Friday & the wrestling sections are as empty as they are rest of the year. They really don't seem to care anymore.

This will probably "hit" one case per store in October and that'll be all we get.

I am curious why soooo many gripe about the rubber singlet top for Hennig. One of his biggest bits as a wrestler was to wear take the top of his singlet down. The rubber singlet top is the best way to go and make it look aesthetically pleasing. A cloth goods top would make this look horrid.
