Since there are like 7 SDCC threads going and I'm pretty confused.... thought maybe we could do 1 thread for MNW Wave 4 discussion.... Looks like this set won't be sold on Walmart's website, so this one will be "in-store only"..... so if you happen to find it, please share what state you found it in. I'm not expecting to find it, but if I do - - - I'd buy either DDP and Curt Hennig. Boss Man & Austin are passes for me. I'm a little surprised they're repeating Austin on just the 4th Wave already..... How do we think they're packing these? 2 Austins, BETTER BE 2 DDP's per case? 1 Hennig, 1 Boss Man? Watch it be 3 Austins, 1 DDP, 1 Hennig, 1 Boss Man.....  |

Thoughts from the SDCC thread:
With the caveat that I'll never get them since they're WM figs and I'm nowhere near one/never go them:
The two DDPs look really great. (If I had to choose one, I probably prefer the chase, but the regular is definitely the more iconic). I wish it had the shirt and/or vest, BUT the figure looks good enough, plus the rib tape and elbow pad, that i'm okay with the trade.
Austin is exactly what one would expect.
RE: Curt. I like the heads and the fact that it's basically a 3-in-1 WCW Hennig. I'm not a fan of the rubber top, but having the yellow Legends one the shelf behind me right now, it looks fine on display I guess.
Boss Man is what it is.
This BAF HBK looks better than the original, but I still feel like that look probably would have warranted its own release in 2024. I understand why it was a BAF years ago, as suited figures and obscure gimmicks weren't integrated into the line the way they are now. These days, we get so many obscure versions of characters and etc., that Commissioner Michaels would absolutely fit as a single realse.

Rubber singlet tops are the worst thing to ever happen to the elite line.
Also, how can someone look at the perfect Mr Perfect head (ponytail) and then look at the terrible retrofest head and think "We should include both of these. We should have the one that looks nothing like him as the default head for moc collectors."
The rest look great tho. I just wish DDP had a vest.

I’ve wanted a black jean shorts Austin for a while, and the first time stunning Vince is the perfect moment, but as mentioned elsewhere the figure has the same old stick legs and arms. Steve had some thickness to him.

First full wave for me, I think. I'm going to swap that rubber top onto a spare DM Bret. I have a pissed off and straps pulled down Bret using the ultimate Jeff Hardy tank top. Hopefully this will look a little better.

I don't understand why Mattel wouldn't use a cloth singlet top, and tuck it into the waist like they've don't to the Legends Kamala. Then you can pull down Curt's singlet down while it's still attached. If they really wanted to pull off that effect.

Bummed as hell about Hennig having that stupid rubber top and Stone Cold once again having baby arms. DDP and Bossman look great. Shawn looks awesome too.
