I just pre-ordered legends 24 and ue vader for 122 total. I know that it doesn't charge until shipped and it guarantees them. But each legends series lately has gone to sale price or clearance at at least 11 dollars or so.
The only question is will one be impossible to find and then I regret trying to wait on them.
Thoughts?

Target will price match for 90 days after they arrive, so always preorder IMO. If the price drops and you want money back, theyll do it. They will also ping your account for the amount pretty regularly, so the folks that don't have money in their bank account will tell you to wait, but that's a person-by-person issue there.

Thoughts? They are worth it for me. After all the Walmart nonsense it's reassuring for me to know that the figures I really want are being delivered to my house, with zero hassle. But I only "preorder" the ones that I NEED to have.... the ones I'll be upset about if I don't end up getting. For Legends 23 - I pre-ordered Guitar Hero Hogan (my #1 want from this set), did Store Pickup for Big Bubba (my #2 want), and I'll be playing the waiting game on Jamal & Rosey (might be nice to have but if I don't get them, I'll survive)..... It's tiered by how much I wanted them.... DEF needed Hogan..... PROB wanted Bubba...... MIGHT want 3 Minute Warning. It all comes down to how badly do you want the figures? You are taking a small risk by not pre-ordering..... but in most cases it's fine.

You would think that eventually Target is going to start ordering fewer cases of these.

Yes, worst case scenario you will get your figures eventually after they arrive in store.
Preordering with target is almost a 99% guarantee.

Preordering with target is almost a 99% guarantee. this has been the only thing ive encountered. target has a history of shipping orders the week before the street date, but also that means delivery times can very and sometimes your pre order doesnt show up until way after street date day. Example: my Rosey figure from L23 is going to be delivered today when the whole series was available on sunday.

But here’s the thing, just because it has a certain street date doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s always going to show up in stores on THAT particular day, at least from the experiences I’ve had with the Walmart stores in my area, now idk if Target is any different with getting things on the shelves on time as I don’t have one that’s really close by … personally I would preorder but that’s just me

I don’t preorder from Target because I hate the monthly holds. Or when they need a delay approval but they send the email in the middle of the night and cancel the order before you wake in the morning because you didn’t reply while you were sleeping. Plus I have never not found a Target Exclusive locally.

I don’t preorder anything from Target anymore. I have like 4 close to me & I always do a curbside pickup or just find them on the shelves

The Legends at $22.99 are definitely worth it to p/o. Granted they can be had on street date, but never guaranteed on shelves. You could maybe use store-pick up, but the Undertaker one, per the Boards here, a lot of Targets were cancelling store pick-up. So err on the side of caution there. The Elites I wouldn't worry too much about.

I have more faith in Target than I do in Walmart. Prices are good, shipping is always fulfilled in my case.

Legends 25 is probably at the top of the worst sets they've done -- and I imagine will warm hard. For the others, might be worth it.

If you only care about getting the figures into your collection (like me), they're absolutely worth it.
If you want them early or are worried about them being available later for a discount, they could be not worth it.
But if you're comparing to Walmart, it's night and day as far as delivering on a preorder. I've never had them not come through.

I wait until the release date and order the Ultimate Edition exclusive online and then find the Legends in stores.

It's worth it if you don't live in an area with a lot of target locations. I have a out 20 within 30 mins of me and I have never not found a target exclusive. Walmart on the other hand is a must for preorders. If they even ship them and that's 50/50
