Not sure if there’s a thread for Junk Shop Dog. Love their Popy inspired figures. I have a bunch of them. Just saw on instagram that they got a shipment of The Destroyer Dick Beyer figures. They should soon be listed on their website.

They do great work! Good to see JSD getting some love. I've got a bunch too.

I’m a big fan of their figures also. I met them at WrestleCon in Cleveland during Summerslam weekend. The owner was very cool and I bought 4 figures from him there. Both Hogan’s and the Road Warriors.
Definitely a niche figure line, but very cool. I remember seeing these style figures in wrestling magazines and etc when I was younger. So it’s cool that they are bringing these back out.
We spoke about other characters like Muta, Liger, Steiners & more. Sounds like they have some new Stars coming but he didn’t really elaborate on who.
It’s also cool that somehow they worked out a licensing deal with WWE to make the Hogan’s. That must of took a lot of work, but it also makes me think WWE would be willing to do other deals with figure companies that don’t make Mattel style figures. I’m specifically thinking about those Mat Maniacs figures coming out. I really like the looks of the Steiners & LOD they are making.

I still wonder how he was able to pull of a licensed Sayama Tiger Mask, when seemingly other companies can't (or are not willing to do) because it involves 2 or 3 separate licenses.

Very curious who they have signed that we don’t know about yet. I remember just finding these guys by chance randomly with the Bruiser Brody figure. Instant purchase. I hope they do a re-do of the Inoki popy.

Yeah, he was really cool to talk to. Spent probably 25 minutes talking with him. He gave a Bruiser Brody pin with my purchase.
Actually Inoki was one of the guys we spoke about, but he didn’t really show his hand if he had him signed or not.
Side note….I really hope Mattel gets Inok.

I never want to see companies get in trouble over copyrights, trademarks, or other IP violations. So I’m always happy when they either A) Find a workaround or B) Get away with it long enough to release the product!

JJ Figures has the new Destroyer figure if anyone wants one. I just purchased one. Not sure why JSD doesn’t have them listed yet.

I could swear there used to be a post dedicated to JSD. Also find it odd that saying his full name with no spaces triggers a spam filter. Let’s test it to see if it’s an error? Shopdog Junkshop Junkshopd Junkshopdo Junkshopdog JSD Well…all seems fine and good now. Odd that it was triggering the spam filter and then suddenly it went away (unless someone was working on the board at 3am). At any rate, these Destroyers are sexy: http://instagram.com/p/C_mIH-ZSPzK

Kind of had my eyes on a few of these figs. I'm a bit surprised since im not much of a retro guy, but the names they get and the packaging sucked me in. The price is a bit high though, I'm not sure I can really justify getting into the line

$29.99 seems like a reasonable price in this market; especially with the minimums he has to do and the niche names/group of collectors he has. But if it’s out of your price range, that’s okay too. I’m personally not a collector but I absolutely love seeing these produced! I have an original Andre the Giant and am hoping he does his own version in the future (which I would be happy to buy).

I can completely understand the price from a business perspective it's just a hair high for me to get in the line considering the limited articulation and that Id only really want them to keep them MOC. 20 dollars a piece would be the sweet spot for me, if they drop for the holidays or something I fully intend on grabbing a handful of them

I keep returning to the website and looking at what they have, I think I'm gonna get sucked in at full price. Now it's just a matter of picking the two or three most essential ones

Also they're cheaper to get than most of the Hasbro retro-lines for me.

Id love to start picking the originals up if I did get into the Junkshop versions, especially Hansen, Mil Mascaras, and Dory Jr. Inoki would be a must too since I want Baba

It's a shame they weren't able to do a similar style WWE mashup box for Hogan
