So let's say that Vince at Wrestlemania X goes with Lex and not Bret at the WWF Champion at the end of the night, where do you see Lex's WWF Title reign going in 1994??
Does Lex vs. Diesel happen at King of the Ring, or do we get Lex vs. Crush or perhaps Lex vs. Yokozuna in a rematch??
Do we get Lex vs. Bret Hart at all??
Does Lex remain a baby face?? Does he turn heel eventually??
When does Lex drop the WWF Title and to whom??

Summerslam--Luger vs Diesel with a dq win for luger after Shawn gets involved
Survivor Series-Diesel defeats Luger
Royal Rumble-Luger vs Shawn, Shawn wins rumble, Diesel beats Bret
Mania 11..Diesel vs Shawn, Luger vs Bret and Luger turns heel

The company would have started to tank even more, Vince would have realized his error, Bret would have had it back by King Of The Ring.
Luger would still end up looking like a loser to the Million Dollar Corporation and would have still wound up debuting as a pirate on Nitro.

Interesting to think about. If he did win at WMX, I think him and Crush at KOTR94 could have been a possibility. If not Crush, then definitely Diesel with Crush being his opponent at SSL94. If that's the case, I can see Bret and Owen in the KOTR tournament, Bret loses to Owen in the finals when Jim Neidhart comes out of nowhere to help Owen win. Owen becomes the King of Harts and we still get Owen vs. Bret at SSL94 in the cage. However, I remember Crush not being around after KOTR. In fact, I think he was out for the rest of 1994. So if that's the case, they could do Lex vs. Tatanka at SSL94 in babyface vs babyface match. They could still do the stuff where Tatanka accuses him of selling out to the Million $ Man. At Summer Slam it's revealed that Tatanka actually sold out and he and Ted double team Lex - Lex wins the match by DQ. Summer Slam: not much changes: Lex vs. Tatanka - WWF title match Bret vs. Owen - cage match Undertaker vs. Underfaker Razor vs. Diesel - IC title match At Survivor Series you get Lex vs. Tatanka; Bret joins with Davey Boy, Razor, 123 Kid in the survivor series match against Owen, Jim, Double J, Shawn and Diesel. Lex faces Bret at RR95 and wins - same finish as the Diesel/Bret match. Diesel enters the Royal Rumble and last eliminates HBK to win. Diesel beats Lex at WM10, Shawn and Diesel face off at the 1st in your house PPV. I think after this, Lex stays a babyface and leaves the company to join WCW like he did. Hmmm, I never thought about if he had won. Vince always likes his baby face champions to be beaten by monsters so I envision Diesel being the guy to knock him off eventually at maybe Survivor Series or the Rumble the following year. It’s interesting how the dynamic would have changed, you may have gotten an Owen Hart championship run or a Tatanka championship run/ match just to get the belt off Luger. I can definitely see Luger losing the belt at like Survivor Series to Owen and that setting up a Bret vs Owen match for the belt at WrestleMania 11.
Owen’s promos as champion mocking Bret would have been highly entertaining. I can only imagine. Look at the mileage he got out of winning the King of the Ring & the Slammys.

I honestly cannot see it, they had to pull the trigger at SummerSlam and by WrestleMania X I am sure that Vince and his crew knew that the ship had sailed on making Lex Luger champion.
I really think that business would have struggled even more with Lex as WWF Champion, especially in Europe.
If they did make him champion then I think his reign plays second fiddle to Bret vs Owen anyway during the summer and the stuff with Undertaker vs Undertaker. If anything, I wonder if it would have made Vince pull the trigger on making Diesel champion quicker.

I hate the way Luger gets such a bad rap from wrestling fans.
If you go back & watch some of his NWA/WCW stuff, especially his matches with Flair, Sting, and others, he holds his own and looked good in the ring. He's definitely no worse than Hulk Hogan (and I'm a big Hogan fan).
Forget WMX, I would have loved to see where things went had he won the Winged Eagle at Summerslam.
