Who his original opponent for WrestleMania 9: I was supposed to wrestle Hogan at WrestleMania IX and Hogan refused. I don’t know why, but I think it had something to do with a bad relationship between Hulk and my old partner Buzz Sawyer. Buzz and I, people thought we were brothers, we looked similar. Hogan, I don’t know if he was afraid to work with me, so the second choice was Davey Boy Smith and he refused to work with me too, I don’t know why because I always got on with him real well but a lot of people were wary of the clown character, so it ended up being me and Crush at WrestleMania IX

I can't imagine they would ave had Doink vs Hogan at Mania. I do believe the Davey Boy Smith one because Bret has confirmed that
I just have a hard time seeing Doink vs Hogan at Mania

BullSh*t LOL.....No way that was the case. Id believe it about DBS even without Brets story because he didnt want to work with The Patriot either. But no way was Hogan even asked to work with Doink.

Bulldog on other hand I could see. No doubt though he's taking that L.Vince wouldve made sure of that with the issues of 92 with em
Makes you wonder what Crush wouldve did if this did happen...

Crush would have been a lot better off I think! I sound like a broken record as I have said this so much, but Crush was so over in 92 and early 93 and his failure to get revenge on Doink completely killed his momentum in my opinion. |

In reality Crush should have won the IC title at King of Ring 93 against HBK but after that Doink fiasco no way Crush was going to go over I could have seen a world where Mr. Perfect helps cost HBK the IC belt to Crush (instead of Jannetty for a meaningless few day run) and we see Crush vs Doink and Michaels vs Perfect sans IC Title at SummerSlam 1993 |

Yup...DBS was in Vince's doghouse big time since SSlam 92.....could totally see him looking at the lights for Borne if he hadn't been sacked before SSeries 92. |

I would have had Doink go over Hogan. Clown on clown violence is always entertaining. If I was Doink I would've just shot on Hulk during the match like Regal did with Goldberg. Still lose, but just make Hulk look foolish is all. Make him work for it. |
