This sounds like what Powertown is doing and would be ideal to sell in museum gift shops 🏛

so..the target legends line I think you missed my point about the line being more limited and not clogging shelves at retail. I don’t think I even read the whole post

I think those are the only 3 world champions left that mattel hasnt made yet. They havent done Stasiak either. Short reign but still a reign. Id buy all of them if they made them available I don’t care what the official record books say, Inoki was also WWF champion.

He was, even if they don't recognize the reign anymore he definitely won the belt, which means they need to do an Inoki figure as well

Literally just posted about old champs in the suggestion box the day before lol I am so down for some old timers, especially if new belts and names get made. Grand Wizard could even be a fun little build-a-figure

It’s a crime that we haven’t had a Gorgeous George since the dolls that came out at the height of his popularity.

I don’t care what the official record books say, Inoki was also WWF champion. He was, even if they don't recognize the reign anymore he definitely won the belt, which means they need to do an Inoki figure as well He should be recognized but, I can totally understand why he wasnt. That entire saga was convoluted as hell. Inoki wins the belt in a worked screwjob, loses to Backlund a week or two later, NJPW overturns the win & declares it a no-contest, Inoki doesnt accept that and "vacates" the title and Backlund ends up winning back the title in a match against Bobby Duncum back in the states. Too many twist & turns to have to explain each time (ifcit was recognized) And it wasnt meant to be a widely known thing anyway.

Yeah, it doesnt help that kayfabe still existed at that point, they couldn't acknowledge an overseas title change in the states because it would derail the champions booking. In the modern era where we know it's worked and we know something went down that ended up with Inoki winning the belt they should probably just acknowledge it, but they won't because it breaks up reigns that have been set in stone for some long
