Does anybody know if the WWE Superstars heads fit on Elites/Ultimate? They seem like they would be proportional. I saw this Angle today and realized none of his Elites/Ultimate have been released with this head sculpt and was curious how it would look on his Elites/Ultimate figure. Also, does anyone know if this cloth singlet would fit his Ultimate? Pics would be welcome. Thanks!

It will fit but won't stay unless you put some putty or glue as the Superstars heads are like He Man Origins and those head pegs are bigger than Elite WWE figure. You'd have to mod the inside of that Angle head to stay.

Superstar heads are also proportionally bigger so its likely not going to look good even if you get it on the peg.

I really don't get why Mattel insists on making cartoony looking headsculpts for the Superstars/Retros. Back in the day, toy companies were aiming for realistic headsculpts, OK they weren't on the level of modern figure headscans, but they were just limited a bit by the lack of 3D scanning and computer aided design. The heads still looked pretty realistic and you could tell realism was the intended style (again just talking about the heads). These intentionally cartoony style heads Mattel does now look bad IMO, i.e. worse than what we got from the old toys, and personally I think they look more out of place alongside the old figures because of it. Both Superstars and Retros would look better IMO if they just did the same realistic 3D scanned heads style that they use on the regular Mattel lines.

It'll look like a Jakks DA head on a Mattel body.

Because these lines are primarily catered to an adult audience nostalgic for the Remco and Hasbro lines. You make em too lifelike or modernize em too much then it loses that nostalgic feel. Thats one of the biggest gripes with ZST and BRG. 40-50 year old men want their childhood recreated and not reinvented.

Yeh but that's my point, that Mattel's Superstars/Retro heads are TOO generic and TOO cartoony looking, and for that reason look out of place alongside original Hasbros or Remcos, in my opinion.

But the whole point is that they're cartoony from the over muscular bodies to the headscan and I think they're the better for it because it makes them stand out
