I’ve had pretty good luck with this line, but unfortunately I’ve never seen an UE Eddie and that’s been my biggest want from this line. I was so excited for this line, but it just had to be a Wal Mart exclusive, they don’t deserve it at all. I’d love if a better store picked up this line instead, because I don’t want the line to go away. I just don’t want Wal Mart to be the retailer that carries this line.

Had low expectations for it but if you want new Austin's out in different shirts than this is the line for you.
On the negative side - all the other repaints, unoriginal, predictable other figures and those elusive, overpriced Ultimate Editions I would consider it a dud.
But sticking to the positives - more Austins with new shirts in new waves.

The concept of the line is a rousing success. This would have been a home run line, greatest selling of all time... if literally everything about it had been different.
IF they'd had names like Sting and Flair
If there had been a bigger pool to draw from overall
If the best figures hadn't been BAFs
IF they'd put effort into it besides simple repaints
IF they'd had less QC issues
IF THE FIGURES HAD ACTUALLY BEEN AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE!
It's really one of those things where "This is the best idea ever... with the worst ever execution" comes into play.
And yes, I do see this as being a thing where, with the potential upcoming economic shift, this line will likely get left in the dust. I don't see them as being able to make enough money on this line to offset any potential increase in costs for Mattel. Unfortunate, but it is what it is, and almost certainly this time next year we're all gonna be sitting around another thread on this forum lamenting on everything that went horribly wrong and clamoring to Steve and Bill to start rereleasing these figures in the GH or vault lines.

Mattel should have Walmart only order their exclusives and not the main line and top picks. The latter is all I see at my Walmarts.

Id say it's been a failure. Its definitely had some ups like ultimate Mankind (if you can actually find one) and the BAFs but the distribution has been atrocious, they don't have the names necessary to carry the line (missing Sting, Savage, Flair, Jericho, Hardys, Edge and Christian, etc), and the execution/QC has been terrible. We had two tone DDP, RVD with an elf face, and a myriad of leg issues. I appreciate what Mattel was trying to do, but they should have done it years ago or waited a couple years to start

In the U.K. this has been a dream to get thanks to Smyths and Mattel. Bar the UE which has now finally been addressed,
Figs wise, some weird re paint choices when there are so many looks and options they could have gone for. Three HHHs??? A very full Rey, and figures I personally don't think fit the line - Lita & Razor.
I have loved the BAFs though, fake Diesel, Harlem Heat, Hall & Nash in debut attire, both Austin's, WCW Piper and I Hate Rap Hennig were amazing.

Ringside should be able to start selling these here soon wasn't it a year after release for store exclusives they have the option to pick up the line and start selling or something like that so if that's the case I can see them starting with the first 3 series here in the next few months

Not that it will make any difference since mattel needs Walmart to sell hot wheels and barbies and these exclusives are part of the deal that Walmart apparently wants. Mattel can't get Walmart to buy 100% of the stock so Walmart seems to hold mattels' tennis balls. Amazing that a company as big as mattel can be so easily controlled.
I agree with others at this point that mnw will just be replaced with another exclusive line once it goes away (prob 2026). Mattel knows we are upset about it but they are powerless to change this situation.
Rip mattel. You will be replaced one day because in the end collectors will choose collector friendly companies who make product available in store or online. Mnw is only available in high trafficked walmart stores with employees who don't collect themselves as the majority grab up the few cases their stores receive. These figures are not mass produced but they also didn't make enough to supply demand. It's just a total failure of a line. This should have been an online only release.
You either go all in or you go bust. This is business 101. There are no shark tank success stories where products were introduced sporadically in low numbers to "test the market".
What this failure tells us is that Walmart execs are not aware about this product and certainly didn't research it enough to know that it would be a huge hit or they would have bought 100% of the available supply. Walmart obviously doesn't believe in the wwe popularity and sees empty pegs as a success?
I am going to quote a district walmart employee I talked to yesterday.
"Wow these fly off these shelves so fast".
This will continue however as our hobby has been taken over by resellers and scalpers who only recently (last 2-3 years) starting looking at the wwe aisle. Before you would see 5 guys racing to the hot wheels aisle. Now those 5 guys go first to the wwe section. Too bad they don't realize walmart employees are at the top of the pecking order now. And maybe if you don't look like a scalper will they give you the beat up punched leftover packages they put back in retaped boxes.
Inb4 oh that's a conspiracy theory. That never happens.. Blah blah blah. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. These employees don't get paid enough to care about the average customer and it shows. They have full fledged cornered the market.
Buy from collector friendly companies. That is the only way to show mattel we are tired of walking into stores that have not restocked in 8 months like a certain store I know where employees buy 100% of every superstars and mnw figure that arrives. They never ever stocked mnw and they still have the same 4 hogan superstars that were there since march 16. The Asian stock manager there has plenty of sales receipts
..
but walmart is just as incompetent and probably doesnt even know this store has not sold a single mnw figure EVER to the public!!!! None of us even have a fn chance!!!
This is a war but we will need to win the war with our wallets and spend that money with other companies that put collectors firsT!!!!!
