MNW line: Dud or Success?

It's been a success for me.

I got another Hall & Nash. They required tweaking but very happy.

Turned fake Diesel into a better champ Diesel & made a late WWF run brown hair Diesel.

Nation Rock, HH in black, nWo Hennig, Vincent, Jeans DDP, debut Warrior, RR in gold & singles Booker were all big wants of mine.

So all good on this end. Also here in Ireland they were all easy to get thankfully.

I should have mentioned that while there is a MNW thread, this poll could also maybe gauge what the community is feeling. I do notice that it seems like over seas, people have been able to grab these pretty easily but state side, we’re hurting a bit.

Right? If I absolutely have to, I’ll pay scalper prices for both singles run Bookers but that’s it. I’ve given up on DDP. The QC issues on that one make it a pass.

If the Tariffs happen, Sadly it will be even more of a death knell for this line. If Walmart Distro was fair and good, this line had the potential to be a slam dunk, DDP QC issues aside. But now, I think it will go another year before it is abandoned, and another "What If"

I hate having to do that especially with money being tight but if that’s the only way, it is what it is.

Unfortunately I have to vote yes … distribution & individual figure issues aside, they’ve made some pretty decent ones like Harlem Heat in this line but overall they’ve lacked some of the biggest names to make it what it should be … without Sting this line will always be incomplete, it doesn’t matter who else they include

That’s another thing. The legends line for the most part is so easily attainable and I love it. Target is by far the best retailer for exclusive figures. Love that place.

Excellent idea, terrible timing when names like Sting and Flair are unavailable, but that’s beyond anyone’s control.

The lack of deeper dives does hurt it, though.

But that’s a moot point, because I have ten Walmarts within an hour’s radius for me and also travel frequently for work, and the only figures I’ve ever seen in a store have been Hogan, HHH, and one Undertaker.

I will preface by saying, I live in a region with a ton of Walmart's and I have a job where I drive a lot so I am able to literally hit dozens of stores in a month. I can safely say, Walmart absolutely sucks. I have been able to get all of the first 4 waves and the greatest hits wave. Through piecing together at various stores. The only figure from the entire run so far I have never seen in a store with my own eyes is the GH Eddie, fortunately a friend got it for me.

There's no consistency. There's no regularity. Two Walmarts within a few miles will have different stock. Some never even got a set. One I've gone to still has 3 Series 1 Hogan's on the pegs.

The figures are a mixed bag, some are really great (Harlem Heat, DDP, both Austin's)...some are completely boring (Wave 2 HHH, Rey). The BAF's have been good, except Teddy Long was pretty unnecessary.

That being said, these are at some point and time, getting out to the stores. Even the shippers that were flooded with them were cleaned out. So the line itself is a massive success from Walmart's standpoint. They couldn't possibly care any less than its a complete and total disaster trying to buy them. They just want you in the store as much as possible
