The company that makes Barbie and Hot Wheels? 2 of the longest running lines ever in the toy industry? I'm having a hard time believing that. Just my opinion... Check mattels last quarter results. Net sales declined 4% Hot Wheels Sales up 13% Dolls gross billings declined 14% Total Debt: $2.35 billion I stand corrected!

Mattel is still turning a profit, come on. Gross is slightly up over 2023. Net is slightly down. Still not operating at a loss.

I thought there was such a thing as good debt for companies? How do we know that’s not what it is?

yea its beyond pathetic now... kick the tires on this chain for WWE. move on to a dependable retailer who can actually stock it and sell it. nomorexclusives Mattel and Hasbro both are not going to survive long term unless they merge. I hope that when that day actually comes they will be able to put some pressure on walmart for better pricing and distribution. Mattel needs to broker exclusive deals, with amazon, best buy, and hobby lobby. If they get there products sold there it would be additional sales and revenue. They could then use that as a bargaining chip with walmart to get a better deal/distribution and maybe more shelf space. This is something they can do right now to improve there financials. Very good pount about hobby lobby. I already see them selling diecast there and a lot of collectors go there to buy tin signs, lighting or display frames, etc. for their mancaves/garages/collection rooms I dont know if they can handle quantity but i could see them selling basics for the custom crowd at ollies prices. Great insight. Best buy is another possibility since they got out of the dvd/music business but im not sure their toy section will last long at their pricepoints. If they got a deal with mattel than that could save those 2-3 aisles.

That article might have been before the Wicked doll packaging/website debacle. They are losing so much money right now in lost holiday sales since they had to recall every single doll in the country to fix that web address (and the first class action lawsuit was filed this week). Their next quarterly report is going to be amazing reading.

There was really nowhere to go but down, so that stat could be a little misleading. Once again, zero research.

Found the UE Dominic and Rey Mysterio today at Walmart. Dom rang up $32.99 and Rey rang up at $39.99... Why? Who the hell knows. This also happened to me. Rey and Knight rang up fine but Dom was $39.99. I got then to change it but…weird
