That was from commentary on Joe vs Necro at Something To Prove. It was because Necro kept getting up and Joe is Punk's "boy" so Punk wanted to see Joe win.

How would you know? Didn't you just get into indy wrestling within the last 3 months? Punk's never had a one on one match with Necro. The heat stems from the beating that Necro and Mad Man Pondo gave to Matt Turner, Anthony Franco, Davey Andrews, Shane Hagadorn, an Evans Starsmore on CHIKARA and IWA MS shows. Punk didn't appreciate how stiff they were with the students who had only been training and wrestling for a couple of months. Joe match with Necro at Something to Prove was because Joe was the guardian of ROH and in some circles sill is despite being held hostage by TNA. |
