straight from the IWA-MS site...
2008 Here We Come...Thanks To You The Fans!!! We would like to thank each and every one of you that have bought DVDs, tshirts, signed photos etc this week in a great show of love and support to this company. We would also like to thank all of you that helped spread the word on other boards, sites and radio shows.
Your help was a tremendous success this past week. At many times throughout the last week, some other places made us start to feel that it was the loyal IWA Mid-South fans vs. the world and well ladies and gentlemen, we won. Through the past 6 days, we were able to do several things. Through the great generosity of our fans, we will be able to pay our immediate debts with several of our creditors which will enable us to stay in business. We have also been able to secure a sponsorship for television advertisement well into 2008. In addition, we have been able to get another sponsor for things such as flyers, banners and other advertisement tools.
We are certainly not out of the woods yet as we still have outstanding debts but we have made enough to be able to push those debts off into the new year. We are excited with these sponsorships and the generosity of our fans. We can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We are going to keep the buy 2 get 1 free DVD sale as a permanent thing till the end of 2007 as a thank you to you guys for being of great help to us. This will hopefully allow us to update our equipment and thus make better product for you (labels on dvds etc).
Once again, thank you for all your support and help. It has reaffirmed my faith in the good of the majority of fans and makes us want to keep fighting to provide quality wrestling to those that still want to see it.
Thanks,
Ian & Patti, Mickie and even Jim

God damn, Im so happy that they will continue the dvd sales and keep going. Thank you all who bought TPI and other items fronm myself, a dedicated IWA-MS fan who went so far to say he'd kill himself if they went under.

Television advertising does not mean they are getting a wrestling show on television. Short term they are ok but they are still in debt. We shall see if Ian learned anything from this.

because you can clearly tell they have never had legit money problems. They have had money problems no doubt but a few fans buying DVD's isn't keeping them in business. It was a work to sell more DVD's and to get live attendance up.

I know for a fact that in the past they've lost lots of money on show's that didn't draw well which put them in debt. So long as no one think's Ian's rollin around in a Cadillac somewhere.

They're getting advertisement, not a TV show...

Yeah, screw the fans over.. great job.. force them to give you $60 or so and only give them 4-5 measly DVDs in return.
No one screwed anyone over. I've seen some of the rough figures of what needed to be raised and what was raised from DVD sales.. and it matches up. The total they needed was not that unattainable, especially with some dedicated IWA fans spending $100 or more. It's $4000.. not $400,000

To make $4000 in profit from dvd sales wouldnt be too tough with IWA's fanbase and people who spent $100 on dvds. I dont think Ian is ridn in a Cadi or anything. But I do think every year there is a "save IWA" drive due to Ian's ineptness and over spending. Besides, he already stated he is not out of the woods......just got some breathing room.

Chris Hero versus Low Ki? Indiana has always been IWA's area.. and Indiana isn't a strong territory in general. Even WWE doesn't draw phenominally in Indianapolis. But it'd just be silly not to do big shows, because big shows draw a little better. risk taking pays off sometimes.. some times it doesn't.

Well then, perhaps they should think about moving the IWA somewhere they could actually make some money. At the very least, they need to look into traveling more. That way they can go to better areas, and with shows in Indiana being more rare, more people are likely to show up.

What I dont need is Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Alex Shelley, Homicide, etc. all booked on one show. Its not worth it. IWA isnt going to draw enough. Not in Indiana, not Illinois, not in Philly.....not is MSG! It really doesnt matter. They arent big enough to afford flights, hotels, TNA money, etc. for these bigger name stars. Big shows may draw better......but overspending and historical profits show that stacking a card with big lineups doesnt help enough. What you forget is ROI.....Return On Investment. Ian will never get enough return on his investment with those stacked cards.

That's great news... thankfully, all those talentless, deathmatch 'wrestlers', will still be able to mutilate and scar themselves for life, for the benefit of the 30 people in attendance...

Thank you sir. I'm glad to see IWA-MS gets to stick around. I'll admit I'm not their greatest supporter out there, but I like to pick up some big shows every once and awhile, and most of the time am entertained by what I see. However they dug out of the hole, more power to them. ~Wuff

You can't ing fly in 20 guys for the TPI and only have 200 fans and expect to make money. I'm sure they are in debt, but they were not going out of business. Ian pulls this crapevery six months and you all believe in. April 2008 is my prediction for the next IWA:MS is closing thread on their message board. Any other takers?
