The last paragraph, while I never was around for the "Sunny Era", makes me a fan as I know from experience in my own right that seizures are unpredictable. Not just for you, but those around you. Got this off of PWInsider so not my own recall.
__________
The Wrestlefanfest's website and message board forum have been taken offline. I am as shocked as you. The word making the rounds today is that there are a lot of bounced checks, which I don't think surprises anyone reading this.
Steve Austin did appear as scheduled on Sunday, as he was paid well in advance by one of the sponsors for the event.
One incident that I continue to get emails about is the fight involving Don Frye and Sonny, the sometime bodyguard for TV reality star Leland Chapman. According to one source close to the Chapman family that contacted the site today, Leland was nowhere near the incident and Sonny wasn't at the event bodyguarding Leland but was there as part of a group from Hawaii, same as Chapman. Another eyewitness report we received noted that Chapman was there for at least the second incident, where Frye was struck and crashed through a glass sliding door. Scott Norton had to bring Frye back into the hotel. There's no question at this point that there are false versions of the story floating around, so it's a "believe which side you want" type of deal and I'd place my bets that alcohol enflamed the situation. Unless video of the incidents pop up, I don't think we'll have a definitive series of events for that fight.
Dan LaFever sent the following.....Friday afternoon, a fan dropped to the floor in an epileptic seizure. I was next in line for a photo with Tammy Sytch when she jumped out from behind the table to attend to him, keeping his head from hitting the floor repeatedly. She immediately ordered the closest person to call 9-1-1. She asked out if there was anything that could be done, and several of us mentioned that seizures need to run their course and to just keep the head cushioned and make sure the tongue is clear from the teeth. She deserves the Humanitarian Award for the weekend.
