Vampiro won't be going to the NWE shows in Spain as is being advertised. Vampiro has said he has retired from wrestling and is working full-time as a member of the Guardian Angels in Mexico City.

This is a short description from Wikipedia:
The Guardian Angels is a non-profit, international, volunteer organization of unarmed citizen crime patrollers. The Guardian Angels organization was founded in New York City in 1979 by Curtis Sliwa and has chapters in over 60 cities around the world.
Sliwa originally created the organization to combat widespread violence and crime on the New York City subways. The organization originally trained members to make citizen’s arrests for violent crimes. The organization patrols the streets and neighborhoods but also provides education programs and workshops for schools and businesses.
I wasn't aware that this was a world wide organization.

I didn't even recognize him at first. There's a better picture on their official website, I tried to post it here but it was massive and I didn't feel like resizing it. If you check it out, he's the really tall guy in the picture.

I'm dissapointed in the lack of Big Bossman jokes.

I never really saw what was so great about him. Sure, his gimmick was pretty cool, but as far as wrestling ability went, he was average. Still, he will be missed. I'm sure he'll work some shows here and there, though.

God damnit. That really pisses me off. I never got to see him live. Hes up there in my very top favorite wrestlers. Hes not the best, but if I can enjoy him as a "juggalo" I must really dig the guy. .... and the Guardian Angels? Of all things to quit wrestling for. It was always my understanding that they were glorified crossing gaurds and a joke in the public service world. At least hes doing something positive.

I saw him wrestle live once. He was one of my favorites when I was a teenager.
I went to an XWF show during it's short little run he main evented with Buff Bagwell and Curt Hennig in a triple threat.
I'm kinda glad he got out of the business. Hopefully he keeps it together and lives a successful life from here on out.
