Usually the golden rule replies for me. You make a comment I find to be ridiculous I shall reply with one of equal nature. So we are both ridiculous. Settled. Im still not understanding the not watching a show due to not liking one wrestler. I dont not watch TNA because of Sting. I dont not watch WWE because of the overuse of Cena, Lashley, Batista, and divas. At least watch what you do enjoy and skip what you dont. Buy a DVR/Tivo/VCR that should eliminate your WWE/TNA problem.

The only thing I don't like about Morishima is even matches that should be competitive turn out to be just squashes.

I stopped watching, because it pissed me off that they took the title from someone like Homicide, to someone like Morishima. You thugs gotta stick together...

I'll admit I'm not the biggest Shima fan either. I dont mind him, but I dont like how he has one squash after another. I dont bash the ROH booking because I'm a big "in gabe we trust" supporter, but all these squashes leaves me bored with the guy.

People complaining about this crapreally give ROH fans their bad reputation for being MOOVZZZ!~~```~!!! fans. Morishima is one of the best in the world, no doubt, right now. He is the perfect Japanese-style heavyweight wrestler. He hits as hard as . Has a sick finisher. Has those moves he busts out to surprise his opponent (cartwheel elbow, dropkick). He no-sells in a good way. Has the "fighting spirit" one would expect. I mean, look at Morishima vs. KENTA from NOAH. Beginning of the match, Morishima is on the defensive, blocking some strikes and stuff. Eventually, KENTA gets some kicks through. Morishima takes one, yells that ever so intimidating "bring it on er" yell, takes another kick, yells, takes another, and eventually just says hey you KENTA, and starts clubbing him in the head. Mori isn't going to bust out a wrist-clutch backwards brainbuster or some shit. He uses a less is more approach, plays off the fact that he is bigger and tougher than anyone, and has the total monster big heel thing going in ROH. And it's not Mori's fault Gabe is booking him in squashes, you can't discredit him for Gabe wanting him to be mega-over.

Morishima is being booked properly, he's bigger than almost the whole Roster, why wouldn't it make sense for him to win decisively?

Exactly. That's why it would have made 0 sense for 'Cide to win their match. How, realistically, could have 'Cide beaten him? Can't use the Cop Killa, Mori's too big. And a lariat finish would suck, Homicide could barely reach Morishima's neck.

Morishima is only as good as the man who he is facing.

I stopped watching, because it pissed me off that they took the title from someone like Homicide, to someone like Morishima. Yeah it makes sense to have two guys face for the first time, and make the results as very unbelieveable as possible. Fact of the matter is, Homicide can fight some big boys, but Morishima's size was a factor. You gotta realize that in ROH, they don't wanna dumb the fans down. Therefor something like size and badass make a uncomparable threat. Please.... Look at how ROH books the Tag Team titles. The team loses through out the year, suddenly wins the titles, then is somehow able to beat the teams that beat them earlier in the year. Exactly. That's why it would have made 0 sense for 'Cide to win their match. How, realistically, could have 'Cide beaten him? Can't use the Cop Killa, Mori's too big. And a lariat finish would suck, Homicide could barely reach Morishima's neck. That's complete bullcrapand proof of ROH fans flip-flopping to prove the Gabriel is "teh bust booka." Where was this "logic" when Austin Aries beat Samoa Joe for the ROH Title? It's virtually the same size difference. Randy Couture, a then 43 year-old at 6'2" 225 beat a 31 year-old Tim Sylvia 6'8" 263 for the UFC Heavyweight Title recently. Size doesn't mean shit, especially in wrestling, where you have to suspend reality.

Although I would like to see him and Danielson or him and Nigel(think this feud is currently going) feud over the belt.

Eh, with all due respect, I really can't see Morishima being one of the best in the world right now. I mean, don't get me wrong, he is REALLY good, but he's got a long way to go to be at that level. First thing that pops into my mind is ring positioning. During that 2/24 tag, there was a horrible patch where Joe was beating up Nigel and Morishima was just standing there behind Joe waiting for him to turn around and attack. Then there was the awkward standing around that people were complaining about on 5/12. I mean, his selling isn't perfect, but it's there, and he's beginning to develop a personality now that he's been doing the heel champ thing, so he's growing into being one of the best, at least.

Kev-
The reason there is a difference between 'Cide and Morishima and Joe and Aries is because Homicide doesn't wrestle like a smaller guy, so he doesn't really have any moves that he can use on bigger opponents. Aries has the crucifix, brainbuster, and 450, all moves you can use on a bigger opponent. Homicide really doesn't have a believable finish to use against a HUGE guy beyond maybe the lariat, which would really lack impact due to the size difference. Maybe if they did a spot where Homicide knocked Mori down to his knees first, or something, but otherwise, he didn't have a realistic way to beat him.
Taz-
Stuff like that happens to everyone. In the Briscoes vs. Nao/Kota tag, Nao goes for that slingshot elbow. Mark moves SO much earlier than expected, and Marufuji just goes with the elbow anyway. It looked horrible. There are spots like that all the time, coming from even the best ever.

Personally I like Morishima from what I saw at RIE. He's a hell of alot better than Nigel Mcguiness. That guy sucks. Kenta is pretty good. I'd like to see him vs. Morishima at the next PPV, and then Nigel faces The American Dragon in a number 1 contender's match which Danielson wins.

It looked horrible. There are spots like that all the time, coming from even the best ever. Yeah, but it happens way too often with Mori for me to be able to call him one of the best in the world. Even just his posture is awkward sometimes... like on 5/12 when Nigel was going to give him the Rebound Lariat, he elbows Nigel and then stands perfectly straight and waits for the strike to come. It's just little things that irk me about him sometimes. Still, he's gotten SO much better since 02-03 that he's going to be insane in a couple years. You must be too busy getting a nut during Draven matches to see Nigel's excellence. If the only Nigel you've seen is from RIE, he wasn't too great on that since he was working with an injury. If you've seen any of his other matches from 05 to present day... shame on you.

Oh shit, someone calling down Mori. These newblings are looking for trouble.
To the original poster, Homicide is chaser not a champion. I thought that was always obvious and then to claim that Takeshi Morishima has no talent... I want to see you gain 200lbs be 6'3 and still move the way he does. Let alone his actual talent for professional wrestling.
In short, go take more bathroom pictures, newb.

Second, the pic was taken in my bedroom, not the bathroom. Third, Morishima was extremely boring during the match at RIE. He did the same crapover and over. And over. His match against Whitmer was identical to the tag. Ok, he's 6'3 and about 300. Hmm...so is Samoa Joe...And Joe can pull off excellent matches, no matter who he is going against. And DEAN, Aries has pulled off the Brainbuster on both Joe and Morishima. However, I don't find it as believable to see someone 215 lbs, lift some who is 300 lbs up vertically. I am a huge ROH fan, but I'm not blind like you and just agree with everything they do. Nigel, Bryan, KENTA, Albright, Aries, Hero, Jay Briscoe...all would make better champs than Jabba the Hut

Joe has had almost the exact same match since like 2004. He is so boring, so repetitive, and didn't bring anything to the table for ROH in like all of 2006. - Yes, I'm blindly agreeing with ROH when I have openly criticized them plenty a time. You obviously have no ing clue what you are talking about. - lol jabba the huttt cause hes fat lolz
