I realise it is lucha libre, yeah. And I really enjoy some of the flashier things they do. But when someone backflips for no reason, it just really puts me off. Dunno where you're going with the Puro comments because I'm not a big fan of Puro and I find matches that rely heavily on strikes to be pretty boring. But really, I enjoy all the spectacle and flashiness of lucha libre, but certain things just go to far, seem too over the top and annoy me to a point where I have to stop and think 'oh come on'. It's kinda like, I will believe so much but doing something like that for no reason is stretching my disbelief too far.If that even makes sense ;[ Okay that I can understand, and agree on a little. Like for example the WCW cruiser battle royal from Slamboree whatever year it was but I'm sure everyone knows the one I'm talking about (re: Malenko/Jericho feud). Damian kicks Psicosis in the back of the knee and he jumps into the top rope form the middle of the ring. Very unlikley very over the top very wtf. So I can see what ya mean definatly. |
