What do you think was the best era of sports video games? I think now is pretty good, but I think the best was around 2005. For MLB, you had the last MVP game that was MLB. You had NFL 2K5, which in my opinion was the best sports game ever. NBA Live 2005 was respectable at the time and NBA 2K5 was gaining momentum so you had good b-ball there. NHL 2K5 & NHL 2005 sucked because there was no season when those games were made but I was still fine with playing NHL 2004. So that era was my fav for sports games. How about everyone else?

2004.NHL 2004,MADDEN NFL 2004,Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 all three of those are the best in the EA Sports series.

Most sports game are half assed these days so it's not now or the past couple of years for sure. I really liked the stuff from 04. MVP baseball was awesome as was Madden and 2K.
