Do you guys think the lariat is over used in wrestling? Especially in Japan I meen everybody uses it as a finisher almost lol. And dont even get me started on the indies....

No, it's not overused in Japan. It is over here, and by guys who shouldn't even be throwing the lariat.

That actually is relatively cool it's considered good enough to be one in the States. However I do agree that a guy like Homicide should never used the lariat on guys who legitly could shake it off and not sell it. |

I think so. Big guys like Morishima should be the ones doing lariats, not Homicide. Although McGuinness does a really nice lariat too.

People like Homicide, and guys his size or smaller should NOT be throwing the lariat. It's stupid and an insult to the big guys who have used the move to finish people off in the past. |

Acually I watch ALOT of puro...And I have seen sooo many matches in many different feds end with lariats.....

I pretty much agree with everyone in saying that Homicide should stop doing the lariat. It just looks so weak when he does it.

i dont think its over used, i can only think of nigel and homicide using it anyway.

Guys in Japan that have a lariat as their FINISHER:
Satoshi Kojima
Shuji Kondo
Um...
Kenta Kobashi
...that's really it for the Big 3 promotions. People use lariats all the time as transition moves, i.e. Marufuji. But that doesn't mean they're overused, as no one complains about snapmares or chops.

Nigel McGuinness is like 225. But, his lariats are right up there with those of a Stan Hansen. There are some small guys who have sicker lariats than bigger guys.

I just called a show a couple of weeks ago that had, and I counted, 26 arm bars. It got to the point where I was keeping a running count during the play-by-play.
