Probably because that most producers believe that the majority of the gaming population are guys between 12-24 and that to the majority of guys between 12-24, the WNBA is a joke.

Maybe because if it was a sim game it would be limited to....
Passing, shooting and the every so often hopping lay up.
So essentially you'd be playing the next gen graphics but the NES Double Dribble engine.
