It kinda pisses me off how assured ROHbots are that Danielson is going to win on 8/25. Surely, he won't in the very first match? Morishima's been an effective monster-type champion, and I've been enjoying his reign, I just don't think Danielson should be able to go in there and take the title right away in the first contest.
Also, why do ROH fans feel the need to bitch about the length of every title reign?

I am very confident in saying there is no chance of Danielson winning on 8/25. That would be a totally stupid move. I'm guessing a time limit draw or something of that nature. What if Joe had beat Danielson on his first match? That would've been totally stupid. Just because Danielson is a former champ and arguably the best ROH champion in history doesn't mean he should be handed it back ASAP.
I don't think the length of a title reign has any merit of bitching. CM Punk's reign was a little under two months but was very effective. Same with Homicide, which makes really no difference since Gabe himself said Homicide's reign was all about the chase, not the title.
Many are belt marks, and I think one reason people care so much about the ROH belt is that they have constructed it so A) the belt has a lot of meaning and B) the champion is expected to actually be the best guy in the company.

I'd love to see Dragon with the belt again, but he won't and SHOULD NOT win on 8/25. 'Shima has really done a great job as the "monster" champion and I think it is too soon for anyone to take the title from him.

But the more lengthier reigns, like Joe's.. or Dragon's.. and now Morishima's, the fans'll always find faults. Whether it's "the title defenses are always the same."... or "_____ is boring." It's just aggrivating.

Since I can't really speak on this anywhere else, at the moment. I'm gonna break my silence with this board for a moment.
Danielson should honestly not win 8/25, not because of the obvious reasons, but simply because Morishima's only got 2 guys right now that are fit to take the belt, and 1 of them has been beaten twice, the other shouldn't be able to get passed him so easily if at all.
I just can't see these two going 60 minutes, especially in manhattan. But I can however see a series of fake finishes with nothing effective enough to take out the Champ.
I'm pushing for Nigel to get the belt before Danielson, but I'm not against AmDrag holding the belt again. Morishima could honestly hold the belt till Final Battle as the deaf of the roster is enough to give him alot of new challenges.
Kevin Steen El Generico Delirious Davey Richards- Yes Davey. Rocky Romero Chris Hero Matt Sydal and Mark Briscoe as Jay got a shot- why not crazy eyes.

As my signature says i want McGuiness to be champ. Obviously i'm british so slightly biest, but his performances have been brilliant and he really has rose up the ROH roster and now is a big challenger for the gold.

im with many with saying that i want nigel to get the belt before dragon does. I dont mind if dragon does win it though on 8/25 since Morishima annoys the crap out of me.

Nigel is my #1 choice to beat Mori. But also Hero would be a good choice.

I hated morishima before he even got the title
he needs to leave, period, this title reign just adds to the fact that he sucks

Danielson won't win and I don't know if I want him to. Morishima has been pretty boring as champion. Yeah, I said it. I like Morishima but not as champion. However I don't want to see Danielson beat Morishima. I'd much rather it be Nigel Mcguiness or like mentioned, Chris Hero. Though Hero beating Shima is very doubtful.

Morishima is a quality wrestler, just because he's a monster and pushed as one does not make him suck. He's the living embodiment of Terry Gordy & Jumbo Tsuruta rolled into one. I guess because he's pudgy and not American makes him crap. I've seen the majority of his ROH matches and not one sucked. He's a dominant world champion heel. People don't like him, which is the goal of his run in the first place. Not a hard concept to understand people.

That's great because both Terry Gordy and Jumbo Tsurtua sucked.

I'm not really into 'Shima at all, I would have been happy with Shingo taking the belt off of him. I do also agree that Nigel should get the belt before Danielson, but they need to build him back up a little bit...

That's great because both Terry Gordy and Jumbo Tsurtua sucked. Congratulations, you're the very first person to use the words Gordy, Tsuruta, & sucks in the same sentence. Mazel tov.
