Gordy was only good in tag matches, such as with the FreeBirds or with Steve Williams. And, Jumbo was nothing spectacular. Everyone seems to love him because he's dead and he was part of the old AJPW. Jumbo, like Morishima, is only good as the person he is against.

Gordy's singles career was tainted with awful matches - he could only put on a good show if he was carried. In tag team action, thats a diff story he had 3 people to feed off and contributed to the matches accordingly. Morishima needs to drop the title. I have to admit I've enjoyed some of his title defenses but overall I dont think he should be the person carrying RoH into the spotlight with national ppv's; the title should have been put on Nigel or Hero already. As much as I love Danielson I cant see him winning 8/25 as that woudl be way to anti-climatic - Sadly I expect Morishima to hold the title till November-ish, drop it to Nigel, and we get Nigel vs Danielson Epic at Final Battle. |

Jumbo, like Morishima, is only good as the person he is against.Let's take a look at that quote on Jumbo for a second, considering Morishima has wrestled ALBRIGHT, Castagnoli, Aries, McGuinness, Whitmer, Strong, Jay Briscoe, Samoa Joe, Homicide, and Jimmy Rave amongst others, I'd say that makes him pretty good. |

I still believe that Morishima will lose the belt to Nigel. At this point Dragon doesn't need to have the belt.

I am very confident in saying there is no chance of Danielson winning on 8/25. That would be a totally stupid move. I'm guessing a time limit draw or something of that nature. What if Joe had beat Danielson on his first match? That would've been totally stupid. Just because Danielson is a former champ and arguably the best ROH champion in history doesn't mean he should be handed it back ASAP. I don't think the length of a title reign has any merit of bitching. CM Punk's reign was a little under two months but was very effective. Same with Homicide, which makes really no difference since Gabe himself said Homicide's reign was all about the chase, not the title. Many are belt marks, and I think one reason people care so much about the ROH belt is that they have constructed it so A) the belt has a lot of meaning and B) the champion is expected to actually be the best guy in the company. I completely agree. I'm not a big ROH fan but I love what Gabe does with their main title- most of the reigns have been perfect length. I'm not a big fan of Morishima, but this won't be the right time for him to lose. |

I never said it made sense. I just think it will happen. I think Nigel beating him makes perfect sense. I mean, true Nigel has lost to 'Shima but that would make him beating him that much bigger IMO. I hope 'Shima does retain. I might not follow ROH like alot of you but I feel his regin could go atleast one more month if not longer. They should make him dominate but not to much. Yeah.. my opinion doesn't matter but ah well. |
