Discussion time. The current ROH Champion, Nigel McGuinness had a fabulous 2007. I think we can all agreen on that. But lets talk about his best match of 2007. His crowning achievement was winning the ROH Title.....no doubt. But was that his best match? Was it even in ROH?
My vote is going to goto IWA:MS TPI 2007......Nigel vs. Claudio. WOW! What a fantastic match! Great back and forth match. Hold and counter hold. These two seemed so evenly matched and you were never really sure who was gonna win that one. Psychology was perfect and the execution was flawless. But I would love to hear what other's opinions are. Discuss!
Side Note:
Why isnt Undeniable available for purchase at rohwrestling.com?

Undeniable is a PPV that doesn't air until later this month so it won't be available until like March.
Anyways I think Nigel's best match of 2007 was at Fighting Spirit against Morishima. That was an amazing match and the best of the series. Nigel also had really good matches with Samoa Joe and Jimmy Rave during the 5th Year Festival UK shows. A lot of people also loved Nigel's match with Danielson at Driven but to be honest that match wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The Unified match was so much better.

Aries from last Saturday. It counts toward the 2008 MOTY voting though. Other then that Nigel/Danielson from the Driven PPV.

Since I haven't seen them all I will just go with the one I have seen. I will say the match from Driven.

I've gotta go with Nigel/Dragon from Driven. As much as I dislike both of them, that match was undeniably good.

I can't choose a favorite but I can sure as hell pick the most underrated one, one that I never seen get mentioned ANYWHERE at all: Nigel and Dragon vs. Morishima and Marufuji from United We Stand. An awesome awesome match, with a kick ass ending. It's sad that it's stuck on a DVD that nobody but me will ever buy. But it was just so good and needs more recognition for sure.

Though Danielson/McGuinness from Driven is a typical response, it deserves the plaudits.
I loved the Nigel/Morishima match from Fighting Spirit. It was an all-around fun heavyweight match that made Nigel look like even more of a main-eventer despite the loss. Even though most would beg to differ, I also felt their match at Live in Tokyo was really fun, again making it seem like Nigel had a believable chance of walking away as champion.
