Hey guys i was gonna post this in WWE but i don't really wanna be in WWE that bad.
I wanna get into this wonderful business that we all love but i'm kinda in abit of a trouble here. I live in Australia and i'm rather short (I'm 5'8) i weight 76 kilograms (Which is about 170 pounds)
Now you might find it odd that i mentioned where i live. Living in Australia means there is less chance of me making it anywhere anytime. Australia has produced 1 big time wrestler ever and that was a midcarder in WWE (Nathan Jones) our other big names include Mark Mercedes who jobbed in WCW 3 times and once in WWA. And we have TNT who has worked Z1-Max and Dragon Gate.
Anyway the reason for this thread is i'd like as much information on what i can do to prepare for training and once i'm a wrestler how i should handle myself and other similar things.
I know alot of independent workers visit this board and i'd really appreciate a helping hand from you. Thats not saying i want just wrestlers to answer i'm happy for fans to reply too because i know there are some intelligent fans here.
Anyway thanks for all help given if you decide to help.
Mitch.

My best advice would be to move, honestly. Move to an American indy hotbed like New Jersey where there'd be plenty of booking opportunities and reputable trainers.

You want to get into the WWE? Then, you're going to have to move to the US. Good luck, pal.

Do research on trainers. Once you get in with a good trainer, they will show you everything you'll need to know. See if there any reputable schools where you live. See if you like it or have any talent for it. It would be crazy to move to another country just to become a wrestler, but if you show any promise, then take it to the next step. If you do decide to get training, don't even think about WWE for a long, long, time. For all except a very few, pro wrestling is and will always be a weekend hobby.

I wouldnt move to a **** place like Jersey or whatever becausr its not certain you'll like living there. I'd move to canada, friendly people, great history of wrestlers. and a terrible market for current wrestling. Canadian wrestling was all but dead until about 9 months ago. There's only about 15-20 feds in all of Canada, and very few of them get any press. I said Jersey because Jersey is a very small area with a lot of places to work.

As OBO said move to the USA, and find a place where you could be hired to wrestle, maybe a indy place, but train first at a good school, I would say Chikara wrestling factory, as well I wanna go there.

Hey thanks guys i know it's hard to make it to WWE i know i'll probably never make it but thats the goal i've set.
Alot of people are saying to move would it be a good idea to train down here with TNT (The guy has contacts with D.G, Z1-Max and is good friends with Super Dragon) and then spend a year getting experience in Australia and then try and move to Canada or Jersey?

Get in good shape, stay positive, and most of all be respectful at all times because you never know who you are talking to or who they know.

Move to Missouri. WE have about 15 feds in the STL area alone. Also get training from good schools. Also get into good shape, start working out.

Move to Calgary, get trained by Lance Storm, work for Stampede or PWA... those are the bigger feds in Alberta. PWA and Stampede helped spawn Johnny Devine, TJ Wilson, Harry Smith, and Nattie Neidhart, all recent talent that made it to TNA or WWE... Then we have awesome talents like Apocalypse who worked I think 1 or 2 matches with ROH and just got back from a tryout with OVW... I'd say Alberta is your best bet to get noticed other than cities by where major Indy feds like ROH, JAPW, CHIKARA and whatever else runs.

well if your 6'1 plus 210-250 lbs, you've got a great head start
If your under 6 foot, you better be able to fly around the ring. If not, goooooooood luck
