Do you consider ROH the new ECW? I meen the real ECW not wwe's crap. I see lots of similarities between the 2.

Yeah, they do have a lot of things that make them alike. The fans, the chants, the different direction the company is going in. I've always said they were similar.

If you had to pick a successor to the original ECW it would be ROH.

No. ROH is ROH. It is it's own legacy.

That's funny, because I seem to remember a Jimmy Jack Hetfield telling me that ROH sucked, and shouldn't be compared to the original ECW.

I think it's ironic that he use to bash ROH none stop and now he's a huge fan but James Hetfield has never been able make up his mind. I guess that's what happens when you talk out your ass before actually attending a show.

No, apart from its cult following. I guess they are similar in the way they sometimes bring in legends to put over the youngsters (eg. foley, steamboat)

ROH still isn't great. And, as I said long before, they can't really be compared, because they are from different times, but they do have similarities. And I have never stated that I am a "Huge fan" of ROH. I only attend the NY shows and I only have DVDs of the shows I go to pretty much. I am not a Huge Fan of ROH by any means.

Well if you mean, expanding way too quickly, forgetting what brought them to the game, moving to quickly to ppv thus making them to financially liquid and now because of ppv losing money with contracts and no increase in dvd sales, and probably end up out of business, then yes, they are very much like ECW.
You would think Gabe, although just an errand boy in ECW would have learned from the mistakes that were made in the office, he witnessed them first hand, and now ROH is starting to make the same mistakes.
With that said it is a shame if they do go under, my critisism only comes with the hope that someone from ROH listens and corrects the mistakes they are making.

ROH is absolutly a modern reincarnation of ECW. Back in the day ECW was a unique promotion that had crazy matches, great wrestling, and interesting angles. ROH is the same today.
Another solid comparison between the two companies was the amount of jealousy from people who weren't smart enough or talented enough to be part of the company. Tod Gordon and his cronies were just as bitter and angry as a certain slum(who'll never be anything other then a low level promoter who loses money) who posted above me and his cronies are that they couldn't be a part of the company when they made their biggest steps.
Gabe was Paul's right hand man in ECW, along with Tommy Dreamer and Lance Storm as far as booking goes during certain points of operation. Just as Gabe has had assistance from people on the ROH roster, namely Danielson, Chris Hero, and in the past Joe & Punk.

Yeah, kinda like how he bashed me for having an Akiyama sig, saying how bad he sucked, and recently he was talking about Akiyama being one of his favorites.

I'm still fairly new to ROH, I guess you can consider ROH similar to ECW in terms of being a unique promotion that freshens up the wrestling scene. But I honestly think that ROH has past that level, in terms of successful.

Sean is just jealous his pal got caught picking up a minor for sex and got booted from ROH so he couldn't beg for a job.

Uh, Meltzer is also reporting that ROH hasn't made as much money as they expected after going on PPV so it's not just "Sean reporting it". I will take Meltzer and Sean's word(if it's even him) over a fan who flys himself out to help set up the ring. Why can't you admit that your favorite company isn't as successful as they wanted to be on PPV?

Why can't you admit that your favorite company isn't as successful as they wanted to be on PPV? You really think I flew myself to shows to work on the ring crew? Are you ing intellectually- disabled? The company wasn't as successful at PPV as hoped, but that isn't going to put the out of business. They lost more because of the convention then they did with the PPV deal. These cutbacks though are non-existant as they wouldn't be flying out Tornado, Ibushi, or Shiozaki on top of the usual flyins if there were all these cutbacks the pedophile supporter is aiming at.

First off, nobody said they were going out of ing business we are all saying that PPV hasn't went as good as hoped. With The Briscoes, Hero & Claudio being off the show as well ROH running in a bigger market like New York they can afford to fly in Tornado, Go & Ibushi. New York holds what 1200? With higher sitting prices and the fact that the DVD will sell sell ROH can afford to fly in guys for that show because of the lose of the Briscoes, Hero & Claudio.
