Team Ratings
Team Overall: 88 Offensive Rating: 87 Defensive Rating: 87 Special Teams: 85 Difficulty: All-Pro with custom sliders. Quarter Length: 7:00
Season Preview Outlook: The Packers are a young, but gifted team. They have all the tools to make it in the NFC if the offense gets going. A division title is possible, although unlikely, if the Packers can split the season series with Chicago. If the Pack can successfully execute the "bend but don't break" style of defense, they should be on the road to victory. The offense is young, but the players are excited to have veteran Brett Favre at the helm. With a rookie running back, a young core of WR's, and question marks at TE, the offense will be the savior, or the downfall of the team. After a good pre-season, the Packers are excited to get the season started as they host Philadelphia. Expectations: 9 wins, Wild card Roster Changes In an attempt to benefit the team, the Packers looked to upgrade, and acquired the following players: MLB - Al Wilson - Lacking a true MLB, and having the cap room to spare, the Packers signed Al Wilson. Nick Barnett has been moved to the outside, where he should prosper. RG - Zach Piller - With the Pack very young at the offensive line, Piller was signed in hopes of adding some much needed depth. WR - Antonio Bryant - With Donald Driver being the only proven target, we hope that Bryant will be a suitable #2 target for Favre. The young rookie Brandon Jackson came into training camp this year with something to prove. After a great training camp and stellar pre-season, the team has elected to start him over Vernand Morency.

Week 1: Sunday, September 9th 2007: (Noon) Green Bay vs Philadelphia Final Score : Green Bay: 31 Philadelphia: 10 Player of the GameAl Harris absolutely shut down half the field on Sunday. When McNabb did throw at him, he was wishing he hadn't, as Harris deflected every ball throw his way, and took a key interception back for a score in the 4th quarer. Tackles | Interceptions | Deflections | TD | 3 | 2 | 4 | 1 |
The Packers got off to the best start you can possibly have to a season opener, as Robert Ferguson took the opening kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown. The special teams were solid, but the story of the day was the Eagles inability to run the ball. The Packers defensive line formed a solid wall as Brian Westbrook had 15 carries for a total of only 56 yards. McNabb had some decent success through the air, but Al Harris was a big factor in the mistakes that he did make. The Packers front four were able to get a decent surge when it mattered the most, and especially in the 4th quarter. The game may look like a blowout on paper, but it was much closer than the numbers lead you to believe. Going into the 4th quarter, Green Bay led 26-17 with Philadelphia threatening. However, Two INT's in the redzone in the 4th quarter by McNabb led to 10 quick points. After a FG by Green Bay, the ensuing kickoff lead to a turnover as the Eagles coughed it up inside their own 20. Brandon Jackson stepped up as he went for 129 yards on 29 attempts. Unfortunately, he also lost a fumble late in the 4th, but a stout defense made sure he didn't pay for it. Brett Favre was cool under pressure as stayed calm during all the heavy blitzes that Philly threw at him. He went 15-24 for 205 yards and 2 TD's. Favre also gave the Pack their best chance to win, as he threw no interceptions while completing passes to six different receivers. Antonio Bryant stepped up as a solid receiver, hauling in 8 balls for 111 yards. The Packers head to New York next week to take on another NFC East opponent when they face the Giants. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I figured I would do a post game wrap-up as opposed to writing down EVERY stat. I will probably do a big stat chart when it comes to about week 9. Then again at the end of the season. Hope you enjoy..

crapi didnt have time last night to properly reply as i was a bit too blazed so here we go now...
i like it so far. BJACK ATTACK BABY... the score seems a lot higher than i remember discussing with you last night for the game against the Eagles, but you also explained two turnovers caused the point surge, so i guess it warrants itself as being legit.
i'll keep reading and posting feedback son... but you know pretty soon its gonna go down: KJ VS KJV TBH

Week 2: Sunday, September 16th 2007: (Noon) Green Bay vs New York Final Score : Green Bay: 47 New York: 17Player of the GameBrett Favre picked apart the New York defense all day. Even when under heavy pressure, Favre stayed calm and delivered accurate passes. With 3 TD's and no INTs, it seems that Favre is settling in nicely this season. Rating | Completions | Attempts | Yards | TDs | Interceptions | 116.6 | 16 | 30 | 265 | 3 | 0 |
The Packers got off to a quick start in this game as Favre threw a 79 yard strike on a play action pass just 2 plays into the game. The run defense was solid once again, as Brandon Jacobs only earned 57 yards on 16 attempts. The Packers secondary struggled giving up big plays early, but turned it around late in the second half. Eli Manning had some success through the air in the 1st half, but was shutdown in the second half as the secondary really buckled down. The Packers front four weren't able to get much pressure on Manning, and will be corrected with practice. Once again, on paper the game doesn't look like a contest, but it was a highly contested bout until the 4th quarter. Going into the 4th, Green Bay led 23-17 with New York at midfield. However, Eli Manning threw not one, not two, but FOUR interceptions in the 4th quarter. One of them taken back for a score by Al Harris. After the Packers capitalized on the mistakes with points, the game was well out of reach. Brandon Jackson turned in another nice performance as he ran for 101 yards on 29 carries. Al Wilson was an absolute monster on the defensive side, racking up 11 tackles, 3 for a loss, and a sack. Antonio Bryant is proving to be quite the catch, as he hauled in 5 more balls for a total of 113 yards. The Packers will face arguably their toughest test of the season, as they head back home to host LT and the San Diego Chargers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Damn it, this is annoying the piss out of me. I have INT's turned down to about 5 on the sliders, and still I'm picking them off left and right. I was having a good game until then too, it was pretty damn close. CURSE YOU MADDEN!!!

Week 3: Sunday, September 23rd 2007: (Noon) Green Bay vs San Diego Final Score : Green Bay: 30 San Diego: 22 Player of the GameOnce again, Brett Favre gets it done. Brett led the Pack through all 4 quarters, and gave them the best chance to win by not turning the ball over once. Rating | Completions | Attempts | Yards | TDs | Interceptions | 111.6 | 15 | 27 | 250 | 2 | 0 |
The Packers got off to a great start this season, and faced quite the road block when the San Diego Chargers were coming to town. However, with some tough defense, and an offense that showed up , Green Bay pulled off the victory. The defense was solid, as LaDainian Tomlinson was held in check by the front 7 of Green Bay. He rushed for 56 yards on 21 attempts, and was stuffed on 3rd and short more than few times. In fact, the Chargers went just 1 for 9 on 3rd down, and turned the ball over twice. Chargers QB Phillip Rivers had some decent success against the Packers early, as the front four of Green Bay weren't able to get a huge surge. Though when it mattered, the defense came through and forced the 2 turnovers that won them the game. The game was a tight battle throughout. With the score 27-22, the Chargers had possession and were marching down the field. A QB spy by Al Wilson led to him picking off a Phillip Rivers pass on a slant that allowed Green Bay to kick a FG with 28 seconds left to seal a victory. The Chargers got the ensuing kickoff, but with only one timeout and more than 80 yards to go, there wasn't enough time left to do anything. Brandon Jackson stepped up once again, and proving to be quite the stable back as he went for 132 yards on 26 attempts. Antonio Bryant is turning out to be Brett Favre's favorite target, as caught 6 balls for 98 yards and a touchdown. The Packers head to the Metrodome in Minnesota next week to take on the Vikings in the first NFC North division game of the season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow, this game was kind of bizarre. It almost ended just like the real game I just watched Sunday! Also, all the players of the game are selected by Madden. Don't know if I mentioned that, but yeah. I'm not playing any favorites
