Well Meltzer is now reporting that ROH has lost the PPV deal in Canada due to embarrisingly low PPV buys.
With all the negative publicity and low moral that ROH has been receiving, this is not welcome news for ROH.
With guys losing pay days and the PPV deal about to come to a close, will contracts and medical follow soon after?
Arron Weiss, the guy that ran Canadian ppv's a while back stated that they did possibly 39 total buys on one ppv carrier.
I guess when it rains it pours.

Someone reported this on the ROHforums and Gabe deleted him immediately. And people here call Jack.... Hitler?

I thought ROH was only signed on for 6 PPVs anyway.

But the reason they got such low numbers is BECAUSE they don't tour Canada Sucks too because I was contemplating ordering their next show...

I guess the next time Gabe is asked if they will travel to Canada, he's not going to get very excited about it

Just goes to show that this "indy" style isnt as over as people in the internet community think. So many people praise OH, and I'm sure they are a good show, but let's be honest, that style has and probably never will appeal to the maisntream.

Mainstream is whatever Vince McMahon chooses it to be. Back in the 80s no one believed a guy the size of Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels could be World Champion. But it happened. Now, its back to big muscles, cuz Vince says so. If Vince decided to produce indy type wrestling......it would become main stream. Vince is a puppeteer and he pulls the string and main stream dance.

Congratulations my friend, you figured out why they call it Independent Wrestling and not Mainstream Wrestling... I think it's really unfortunate that ROH lost it's PPV deal here because I've always had a soft spot for ROH even though I haven't watched it in a fairly long time... I was even talking to my brother about ordering the next few ROH PPV's and when I checked to see it in the schedule for Sporting Events I didn't see it...

ROH is a private company, thus their numbers stay PRIVATE.... i call bull **** on this one. While yes ROH is private, it has been reported on several news sites already. Gabe is well known to talk and leak news to Meltzer when it benefits ROH. Also many ROH employees like JSWO love to brag about the inner workings of ROH. The PPV and cable companies are however not private and their numbers are made public for corporate filings and such. Plus the PPV WAS CANCELLED so that is the most daming proof.
