Dragon Gate sucks, that's why.

I would rather watch something with a Dragon Gate style of no selling than something like BJW.

BJW is awesome, they have put on easily some of the best Deathmatches ever. If thats your thing. I'm more into NJPW, AJPW, NOAH, HUSTLE and M-Pro. Though, I'll fully admit that I lack major knowledge of much of the orient. But I really do want to learn more.

BJW is awesome, they have put on easily some of the best Deathmatches ever. BJW puts on good stuff now, but 90's BJPW is the shit, imo. The early stuff, and feud with CZW was great.

The feud with CZW was one of the lowest of the low periods of BJW, and Nick Mondo is one of my favorites.. Zandig and his style of yardtard-esque "hit people with shit" nearly killed BJW and made a lot of the effects of the Death Match Revolution null & void. 1998-2000 were the prime years. 2006 & 2007 have also been quite nice.

But yeah, it did give BJPW a swift kick in the pants.

The death match 'revolution' era of BJW was awesome, 98-00. People like Yamakawa, Honma among others changed the face of the company by doing psychology, actual wrestling, and unbelievable bumps. Unlike the past years with the "I'll cut you, you cut me" style.

You go from having guys like Shadow WX, Ryuji Yamakawa, Honma, and others busting balls and doing amazing stuff, having great matches with light tubes and stuff, instead of having light tube matches. then for the CZW feud.. you get the amazing technical prowess of The Wifebeater, Nick Gage, Lobo, and Zandig.. in typical "you hit me with shit, then I hit you". There's a reason Zandig and Gage did a lot of stuff like flaming ropes, fire road, stuff like that.. Because it takes no talent to burn someone..

The whole BJW/CZW feud could have been so much better, BJW put over CZW and basically jobbed to them. One of the reasons Honma left the company.

He should go back. He was a great bump taker, and he's not doing much in NJPW.

Yuji Nagata & Yujiro beat Manabu Nakanishi & Mitsuhide Hirasawa (11:41) when Nagata used a backdrop hold on Hirasawa. 5. Some news: 2/17 final card, plus LOCK UP lineups by Stuart - 13 Feb 2008 TNA's Christopher Daniels will replace RISE's injured Low Ki on the 2/17 card, making it three New Japan vs. TNA bouts. Of course, this will be a rematch from 1/4 when Wataru successfully defended his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title against Daniels, but said belt will not be on the line here. Full cards for both of this month's LOCK UP shows were also announced today, featuring plenty of interpromotional goodness and Uwano's retirement series.

Shef......give me a brief synopsis of whats going on with Muta currently. Last I saw him, he was teaming with Tajiri in HUSTLE. I assume he still works All Japan. What else is he up to? Any chance he is coming back to America anytime soon?

Any chance he is coming back to America anytime soon? Well Muto is still in AJPW, doing his thing. On (I believe) March 1st, he's teaming with Tanahashi to face Kawada and Taiyo Kea. As for Muta, I don't really know what he's been up to. I THINK the last time we saw Muta was in HUSTLE, so we'll have to see if he pops up in AJPW anytime soon.
