I think he shouldve won the roh world title. Not only because hes good but because of the sentimental value. Who else agrees? If things dont work out for him in wwe he better win it some day.

I disagree, whole-heartedly. Colt's a great wrestler and all, but his gimmick is a joke and he would've made a horrible ROH World Champion, IMO.

I agree with the above, I mean everyone loves Colt and all, but he was always in Punk's shadow.

I agree with the above, I mean everyone loves Colt and all, but he was always in Punk's shadow. Are you kidding me? I think once Punk left, Cabana started to break out into his own. His feud with Homicide is one of the best in ROH history. All three of his matches with Danielson were really good, even the 5 minute loss at The 100th Show. And his feud with Jimmy Jacobs also was great, with an awesome ending at FYF: Chicago. And if you didn't find his matches with Delirious at FYF: Finale and This Means War II to be entertaining, well, I don't know what to say. Should he have been ROH Champion? Probably not. If he had won it, I would think it could've been from Homicide. But timing never worked out for Cabana in his favor. But I think in the end he worked out just fine, and became a credible and great singles wrestler.

Trust me, i'm an IWA-MS fan, i've liked Colt for a very long time. That's my point though, I just don't think ROH ever put him over for the title, in part, because he is seen as "Punk's partner." Punk was always the leader and was always the focal point of the Saints, period. Colt was always the comic relief. As much as I love Colt, and always will, he will be stuck with that wrap. The comedy character also, by the end of his run, started to dry up a little bit. I love Colt to death, but the combo of his gimmick and the fact, he is seen by some as simply "Punk's partner" and wouldn't go over for a World Title.

I think when Colt snapped, had Homicide won the world title prior to it, that'd have been the most sensible way to make Cabana into a champion.
Just because it'd showcase a different type of Colt, and a reward for the conquest.

Yeah, Colt/Homicide is one of the few memborable feuds, that i can remember off the top of my head, from ROH in the past 2 years or so. It was really done well.

ROH champions are always guys who represent the best wrestler in the company. Colt was a good wrestler, really good. And he was super over. But comedy acts rarely get World Title regins. And in a company like ROH.......those reigns are gonna be even fewer if ever. Delirious is a guy who is super over, but I dont think he will EVER wear ROH World Title.

Even if for a short reign the pop he wouldve gotten winning the belt would be worth it.

Even if for a short reign the pop he wouldve gotten winning the belt would be worth it. ROH doesnt do many short title reigns. Most people have the belt for eternity.

Low-Ki, CM Punk, James Gibson, and Homicide all had pretty short reigns.

They also aren't ROH's comedy hour and had a reason to win the belt and could get over as champ. I couldn't see Cabana getting over as champ given the character he had in ROH. The four people you named are seen as top stars and Cabana was used a midcard comedy act. But I do love Colt, I just couldnt see him carrying ROH, like any of of the former champ, excluding Xavier.
