So I thought I'd start up a thread on a bunch of stuff boiling up in my brain lately wrestling wise. Figured it'd be a nice little way for me to introduce myself to the board and start up some discussion.
1. Why the hell am I seeing atleast 5 BJ Whitmer threads on every board I go? Do that many people really care about this guy? Because I'll tell you I really don't give two ****s about him. Now don't get me wrong, the BJ Whitmer of 2003 I loved. The BJ Whitmer of 2008 had grown stale and had sunk to a guy that no one paid attention to or cared about. His Main Event Spectacles match from 2003 aginst Homicide is still a favorite of mine. But here's a guy that had done everything in ROH. He'd won titles, he'd save the company from evil invaders and had a historic and memorable fued with Jimmy Jacobs. But lately he had fallen into the never ending parade of trios groups in ROH, in which he unfortunately was stuck in a group that was at the bottom. (Brent Albright was the only decent member of Hangmen 3). Just like in the old territory days, BJ needs to go away for awhile to become fresh again. Wrestlers would move from territory to territory to keep themselves fresh. And now is that time. You've done it all, time to go do something else....then you'll be back.
2. Who's pumped for all the ROH tag team shenanigans coming up? Seriously, look at these dream matches that are on the horizon.
-CIMA, Go Shiozaki & Erick Stevens vs. Roderick Strong, Davey Richards & Rocky Romero
-Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Dragon Kid & Ryo Saito
-Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino
-Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs. BxB Hulk & Shingo
-CIMA, Dragon Kid & Ryo Saito vs. Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino & Genki Horiguchi
-Davey Richards & Rocky Romero vs. Ruckus & Jigsaw
-Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Shingo & BxB Hulk
-Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Jack Evans & Ruckus
-Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin

Look at that. Now sometimes I think ROH has gone a little overboard with the amount of trios groups flying all over the place, but this makes for some awesome tag team matches.
3. What has gotten into me and my acceptance for Erick Stevens? I usually hate the big guys. They're slow, they have no skills, but Erick Stevens has really grown on me over the past few DVD's that I've seen. Don't ask me why, and if you did, I don't think I could tell you why I love him so much in the ring.
4. So Eddie Kingston may FINALLY get his shot in ROH? We'll see. Kingston is one of the top guys on the indy loop who has a nack for the mic. Could you imagine how well he could get over in ROH promos? Now this whole BLK OUT/Vulture Squad fued that seems to be forming could get real interesting. I really don't want to see Robbie Mireno in the fold, but ah, he adds that **** heel manager heat to any match. See how this flies. I could really smell a potential Ruckus turn on the Vulture Squad. Or maybe they should just kill the Vulture Squad and make them all BLK OUT with Julius Smokes at the helm, now how awesome would that be?!
5. Anybody watch WWE lately? Nope, neither have I.
6. If you get the chance pick up the latest DVDVR release Best of Mid-South/UWF 1980's. Got some awesome stuff on there. Watts really had a nack for some great storylines that got the crowd going. And I'm a sucker for anything that gets the crowd going. If you like old school NWA stuff from the 80's, you need to pick this set up. Eddie Gilbert is one of the most underrated heels in history and really isn't given enough due, due to his untimely and early death.
7. Anybody watching AWA on ESPN Classic? Do you think this day in age that a guy like Col. DeBeers and his VERY controversial persona would ever fly in today's wrestling scene? Watch some of the UWF and AWA played on ESPN Classic and you'll know what I'm talking about. Also it's hilarious to see Dennis Stamp in the ring. Don't remember who Dennis Stamp is? What?! His name doesn't ring a bell?! Maybe this will: or for a more comedic look
8. Anybody watch MTV's Made with the kid training under the MCMG to become a pro wrestler? If you haven't checked it out, you can watch the complete episode and behind the scenes stuff at the MTV Made website. What really made my day was Ki acting like a complete prick like the kid was disrespecting him and treating the kid like ****.
