Nigel is so under appreciated. Its downright sad. Nigel is the man. Although I did find his recent PPV match with Austin Aries to be overrated as well. I've never been a huge Aries fan though. The guy is good but there is like 10 ROH guys I'd rather watch. I think it has a lot to do with a lot of ROH fans always hyping up a match as being the best ever and all this crap that when I see the match, I'm disappointed. It was a good match but I wouldn't say it was on of the top 5 ROH matches I've ever seen. Not even in the top 10. Ok, not even in the top 25. I am totally with you on Aries. I actually liked Aries more circa 04-06 then now. Aries is definitely low on the totem pole for ROH for me. But it seems the guys I like are the guys ROH doesnt push much. Oh well.

Yeah I'm a bigger fan of the undercard guys with the exception of Danielson, Nigel & the Briscoes. I'd personally take Hero, Richards, Claudio(his push is off and on), Necro, Black, Generico & Tornado(I know he's not full time but he should be) over Aries, Strong & Stevens who Gabe appears to love.

There isn't one thing about Tornado that makes him interesting to me at all. I would take Aries over Danielson any day.

The board did fall on hard times at first. We had a mod that knew nothing about indy wrestling and never posted here, very little new blood, and a lot of other minor issues. But we perservered. A lot of new blood reinvigorated the boards. We had a couple of good contests like The Ultimate Indy Wrestler, Year End Awards and now King Of Trios. Things really picked back up end of 07 and beginning of 08. Its Dean, shooter. You remember Dean. Actually it's, dean, formerly known as DEAN. It's kind of strange by the way, not in a bad way, that both Dean and Deano have popped up. But I'm not complaining. Anyways.. #18, correct me if I'm wrong but were you not at one time very anti-Chris Sabin? If I'm right that match has to be good to even get a nod from you. I might check some of these out as I haven't put a lot of money into DVDs as of late, and that goes double for finding it on the web. Marufuji vs Morishima from 12/2 was good enough for your top 10? I'm not buying it, but to each their own. I definitely don't know what to say about Z-1, it used to be my favorite promotion but now it's no where on the radar. For shame. A deathmatch, hah... that's a new side of you I'm not familiar with. Oh and I agree, you should have had a ballot on the Hall of Fame, but now that you're posting I think you screwed your chance for the '09 class. Welcome back. - Nakajima/Sabin was just awesome. It had a great story, great selling, and was easily the best Sabin match I've ever seen. - Did you see the 12/2 match? I thought it was a perfect coming out party for the new generation heavies right before the old guard went out. I just thought it was the most intense and exciting singles match any of the two had had all year. - The death match was just constructed so well, with the spots and weapons not being the focus, but more of the underdog rookie Miyamoto trying to make a name for himself against big dog champ Sasaki. WOW I thought ROHbots were bad. Nigel/Morishima was bad? Are you ing with me? The Ladder War was massively overrated, but to call it ****ty is insane. Go somewhere else and be a blind puro mark. Wow. Nigel/Morishima was HORRIBLE. You have Mori spend over 6 minutes work Nigel's shoulder...switch to the other shoulder...and continue the work. The entire beginning section of the match was spent on working the shoulder. THEN, you have Nigel go into OMG LARIAT mode and proceed to do easily 25 lariats with the arm Morishima worked on. Great selling there Nigel. Then, the match continues with no crowd heat, ignored selling, and the most ridiculous "let's have Morishima stand there like a dumb and take 2 'Jawbreaker' lariats" finish I've ever seen. A poorly executed, emotionless, boring match. As for the Ladder War...seriously, I've argued this point 200 times. At 6 minutes in, you go into the spot-rest-spot-rest-spot-rest form that requires nothing beyond athleticism and a death wish. The match lacked any sort of substance or anything beyond OMG MOOVZ that could have been in a highlight video or a SD VS RAW match between two 11-year-old's. As for me "loving everything from Japan"...I just bashed one of Japan's biggest promotions in this thread. And I watched tons of puro this year, and some of it was bad. I don't love everything Japanese...there were tons of matches that were downright abysmal coming out of Japan in 2007. I just don't watch indy wrestling beyond some ROH if I see it up for d/l or whatever. I don't watch WWE or TNA because frankly I don't think anyone can argue that their in-ring stuff is or ever will touch Japan's best stuff.

All of those guys just seem like your average indy worker to me with Storm being well below the others.

There isn't one thing about Tornado that makes him interesting to me at all. I would take Aries over Danielson any day. Pretty much my sentiments. I can't find my self enlightened by Tornado when theirs actually real talent in ROH. I was less into Aries than I am now, though one of the first appealing things to me in ROH was definitely Generation Next. I think one of my first ROH shirts came from that influence. But Aries is definitely more on my radar than he was in say, May of 06. Oh and for the record... Erick Stevens is passable, but why on god's green earth is Julius Smokes making a payday?

For the sake of Dean randomly coming up on my Benoit sig...
Here's a random thought, nobody gives two shits.
Now go back to the Flavor of the Summer Forum, and stop polluting the OF board with you're childish nonsense.
