I'd definitely snag all 3 nights of this years King of Trios. An amazing set of shows, with real good matches and really fun fun times.
Besides that, I'd get:
- Showdown in Crisis Land (a fantastic show for first timers)
- Cibernetico and Robin
- Bruised
- Chapter 11

If you are just into it, chikara best of 2007 is a great choice.

Showdown In Crisisland is a great show, I guess if you wanted to get into it, try the best of 07.

I'd suggest pretty much any shows from 2006 and 2007, wide range..but that is personally my favorite time frame of Chikara.

Like all Chikara DVDs rock. Cuz no one is naming the same one. ;D
A couple of years ago when I first came here, I was ridiculed for my love of Chikara. Now I feel like a proud papa. ;D

This goes back a good deal, but a few shows I love from CHIKARA is the 2005 Tag World Grand Prix. It has older characters yes, like the dearly departed party pirate Jolly Roger (now at the helm of a Pepsi Truck), but it has excellent wrestling, dodgeballs, and is the origin of a good deal of the major CHIKARA feuds over the years, being the main Hero/Quack, as well I'm sure King/Hero can be sourced from this. It goes back a few years, but they are great shows.
More recent though, I really liked The Sorid Perils of Everyday Existance. It has the death of Equinox, and an excellent Campeonatos de Parejas defense.

the national retail DVD is a great buy for someone just getting into Chikara. you can get it in most retail stores like FYE and it's only $10.
