I believe they go away over time not quite sure. But if you get enough they can suspend your lisence i think.

You got your license and you dont even know about points? If you get twelve points your license gets suspended.

You got your license and you dont even know about points? If you get twelve points your license gets suspended. In some cases, it varies by state. Maybe?
Anyway, the points are based on how serious the offence was. The higher the points, the greater the seriousness. Sometimes, they can remain on your record for upwards of two years.

usually if you go to court and ask the judge if you can take driving school to keep it off your record you wont lose any points nor will your insurance go up. Thats what i always do

I had to shell out a hundred and one bucks for not wearing a seatbelt. You had to pay 7 dollars more? I feel raped by my county.

No. That's not insane. It's actually very low for four points. When they'll go away depends on your state laws. Look them up before you drive.

It depends on your state. In some states, it takes like 3 years, others it takes 5; I believe.

Not sure about USA Law, in UK if you react 12 Point on the driver lisence, then you will lose the driver lisence, and have to doing driver school again. Or even banned for driver like as 3 - 5 years or more. Depend on the situations.

my uncle got done for speeding down in dorset which is a 4 hour drive from where he lives, he already had 10 points so he had to go to driving lessons, the stupid thing was they made him do it in dorset 3 weeks later so he had to drive 4 hours there and 4 back for driving lessons.
