Well since you're still in high school, I suggest you start playing a sport. Trust me, I play 3 and I am in great shape. Also you have to change your diet. Take out sugar like the one guy said. It will help drastically.

It's not possible that you starved yourself for a week and you saw no change. Either you're lying or your inhuman. I'm going to be brutally honest..I lost all my extra weight by simply not eating and am not ashamed to admit it. I pretty much ate next to nothing for 6 weeks( just enough to get by without collapsing) and lost like 40-50 pounds. ^ This was in the Summer of '06. There's no faster way. But if you don't want to starve yourself, then: A) No Soda B) No Fast Food C) Very limited candy D) Stay active I tried the starving for 1 week and I gained 2 pounds. So I believe him.

It's kinda scary to read that people are starving themselves when it is absolutely unnecessary. The truth is, when you do that not only can you up your metabolism, your body also metabolizes its own muscle. No matter what you're doing, whether you're sitting on your ass at the computer or at the gym working out, your body is burning calories...breathing, your hair growing etc. When you have no calories for your body to burn, it doesn't burn fat, it burns muscle. To CM Showstopper: You gained weight because your body probably went into starvation mode and held onto what ever you did eat. I made a decision months ago to make a lifestyle change, I don't call it a diet. It's tough at times but its sooo worth it when you start to see results. I do calories in vs calories out. There are 3500 calories in one pound. So say you want to lose 2 pounds a week, you need to make a deficit of 7000 calories whether it be by eating/exercise (preferably both). Getting yourself a heart rate monitor watch (with a calorie burning counter) will help out quite a bit. You need to start doing some sort of cardio but also add some resistance training as well. If you really want to get into it, read up on Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and Active Metabolic Rate (AMR). Most importantly....gets lots of rest. With little sleep, your body produces something called ghrelin which makes you more hungry throughout the day. There is one site that I use that has really helped me: www.fitday.com/My cousin is a fitness trainer and I've learned a lot over the last year or so. If you need any help, feel free to pm me.

If you're trying to lose weight, is it fine if you eat pizza like one day every week? My school sells pizza on Fridays, and pizza rule.

I tried the starving for 1 week and I gained 2 pounds. So I believe him. Different bodies different outcomes, either way when you starve yourself to lose weight you're going to gain it back and then some when you get back to your regular diet. Nope, it's been almost 2 years since I starved myself to shave off 40 pounds, and I haven't really put on any weight since. Obviously I didn't resort back to my original diet. I started eating a lot better so I didn't put the weight back on. It's hard to eat good when you're fat because you think it'll take forever to lose weight, but if the pounds are " zapped off"( aka starved off), then you want to maintain your look by eating well.

The best way for me when I lost wieght was not eating alot. I weighed 226 in the beginning of 2007 and now I am 203.
I only eat like a small sandwhich every day, thats all and it works great.

Listen man , i lost 75 pounds easily , all you need to do is watch what goes into your mouth. Eat 20 grams of Fat and 1,800-2,000 calories per day. You are lucky bc you are young and in doing this you will allow your metabolism to kick into high gear. Also try not to intake calories before you go to sleep the longer time between the last time u eat in a day and the time u go to bed the better. You don't even really need to exercise tho it is a good idea. I'd say go out for a walk/ or jog once or twice a week but make sure u do something like crunches and push ups at least twice a day. Increase your number by like 5 each day.I do them the second i get out of bed and right before i shower @ nite. Also CUT OUT FAST FOOD AND SODA if u cut out wendys/mcdonalds/burger king /pizza and REGULAR soda that will speed up the process for u . Try coke zero and flavored waters there good . The less calories and fat the better. DO NOT STOP EATING THIS MAKES YOU FATTER . Your body doesn't know when it is going to get food again after u stop eating. If you don't eat your body will store up everytihng u just ate and it makes it harder to lose weight , not to mention it is quite unheathly. Starvation is not beneficial. Do what i say and i promise you will lose weight . if you don't i will send you a check for 100 bucks lol.. try it man it works...just stick to it

girls date fat guys... believe me. well they certainly wont date one with your attitude Yeah girls will date fat guys they won't date guys who think girls won't go out with them because they are fat. I have seen many fat guys with smokin hot chicks and the guys were not rich or anything. Eat less move more very simple.

I was never "overweight"......but not eating McDonalds for the last year and not drinking soda for the last year has allowed me to make my body much more defined. With the jogging and ab work outs that I do I've noticed a lot more muscle definition where before it was just flat skin.
I pretty much don't eat breakfast.....sometimes I'll have some pineapple and bread.
For lunch I have 2 low sodium turkey and ham sandwiches with just yellow mustard on them. They aren't that big, on your usual hamburger sized roll.
For dinner I mostly eat chicken, rice and a vegetable like broccoli or green beans. One night a week I'll have pasta with meat sauce.
During the day if I want a snack the only things i will eat are pretzels, sunflower seeds or water.
We are all human, like usually once every 3 months I'll just absolutely craze candy and I'll go and get some and have it that night.....but after that it's over.....you can't eat candy everyday.

When I was 15 I was about 5 foot 10, and weighed around 215. Now my weight does fluctuate a bit, and I weigh anywhere from 139ish to about 146ish. Really there's no "easy" way to lose weight if you want fast/effective results. I basically spent 4 or 5 months on an extreme diet and doing heavy exercising everyday, because I was unhappy and fed up with being fat. Just don't be lazy, and stop eating junkfood. Forget "cutting down on it", get rid of it completely, it's just going to hinder your progress.
