Honestly, Im 15, and 230 lbs, 6' tall, and 33% body fat
I need to get in shape. I don't need a six pack, but I need the fat gone. I've tried so many diets before, even not eating for a good week, nothing worked. And I don't know any girls that date fat guys.
Anyone have any advice?

I have a friend who is fat by nature and eats no more than I do, he's started losing weight now he's nearing the end of puberty, honestly at 15 you shouldn't be trying to lose weight you should just be focussed on eating healthily and getting regular excercise, do that and the fat will go away eventally.

Seriously know, this IS the way. You don't need to extreme diet. But do watch what you eat. For instance, say you avearge so many bars of choclate/burger/chips etc. a week (or day), well set yourself the task of eating 2/3portions less for the next week. Nothing too extreme. Where you can go without unesessary snacks, then why not? It is fine to eat some junks foods as long as it's not oo much, and mixed in with some healthier options. Butter? Try low-fat butter. What''s there to lose? White bread? Try brown. Coke? Pepsi? Why not milk? (Skimmed ) or water? or something less junky? You can still eat almost your regular amount, because by the sounds of it, you are a naturally bigger person. So eating less than you require is bad for you. Thennnnnn. The cario-vascular activity. All that means is doing activities that involve your heart getting a workout. Running, jogging, walking, cycling and swimming (both very good), hiking, rowing etc. yeh? No need to bother with weights for now. And the cardio doesn't have to be alot. Start of small. Ease yourself into things. Maybe twice a week, go for a bit of a jog round your garden/yard or the block or w/e. Or bike it. Just for 10mins say. Then next week do it for 15 mins a pop. Then eventually up it to 15mins and so on. Keep changing the different activities/length you do them/where you do them, so as to avoid boredom. And even when you get that small reason "Ahh, well I guess I can't really do it today..." NO! If there's any knowing in your head that you know you can fit it in, then DO IT MAN! What's there to lose? Weight dammit! I GUARANTEE if you do somewhat of what I said, not to the tee, just modify it to suit yourself, you will lose weight within the next month, and depending how long you keep it up, the better you'll look, and best of all, how good you'll feel. I guarantee that also. You really REALLY, feel better about your whole self. Remember it TAKES TIME. Do NOT give up man. When you in you teens to about 24, that's when your body changes the most, so how do you want to come out looking after those years? It all comes down to... How bad do you want it?

Eat less and exercise more. It might sound like sarcasm or something, but it will work. It's just simple.

If you really want to lose weight get a sweat suit from wal-mart sporting goods secting and run in that, I lost a lot of weight. Its a vinyl suit that help keeps your body heat inside and you sweat a lot. There is also this diet that I did with it called the 3 day diet just go to yahoo and type in 3 day diet. I wrestled in High school and was always having to lose weight and trust me this works!!!

Diets don't work. The best thing you can do is change the way you eat. You can eat healthy and still eat good food. Google "healthy recipes" and similar terms. But if you're looking to lose fat... eat healthy, cut out soda as much as you can, no sugars, and do plenty of cardio.

Well first of all going on a diet where you don't eat anyhing for a week is not a good idea. You need to eat healthy and excercise to lose the weight.

starving yourself is the worse way to lose weight. eating healthy is what is best. find your daily calorie intake (google it)...and subtract 500 from that. eat that amount of calories. cardio is essential...i'd even get a gym membership and lift weights.
stay away from: pop, sugars, sweets, bad carbs, etc. you get the drift on what's bad.
best thing to eat: chick, fish (lean meats), yams, VEGGIES (fiborous ones), peanut butter, any time of nuts (almonds, cashews), water, water, water....sleep, sleep, sleep.
do that and you should lose 1-2 lbs a week.
for a lifting schedule, check out riptoe's and for cardio I'd do simple walks or if you want quick results, try HIIT.
...and honestly...before you do any of this, question your intentions. if you're doing this for girls....ask yourself, "are those girls worth it if they can't except that i'm fat?"

I lost a tremendous amount of weight by simply cutting sugar from my diet... no more candy, soda, ice cream, etc... drink a lot of water. I drink about 6-8 bottles of spring water a day, and sometimes I have a half or full bottle of vitamin water with dinner. I eat a big breakfast, usually a lot of fruit, a couple of eggs, wheat toast, and occasionally a couple of strips of bacon or something... I may have something small for lunch, and a moderate sized dinner. Cut out snacking and desserts, that is where a lot of people waste calories. If you want a snack, have something light like a piece of fruit. And the myth that "girls don't date fat guys" is absurd... I know some fat ugly mother ers who have modertately attractive girlfriends or wives. Girls don't date sad sacks of crapwho mope around feeling sorry for theirselves... they do date confident guys though. I used to be the shy type, but came out of my shell by taking up some hobbies that interest me- ice hockey, singing, kick boxing and I have absolutely no problem meeting girls. Your problem is not your weight, its your confidence. You should want to get in better shape for your own good and your own health, but thats not why you can't find a girl.

It's not possible that you starved yourself for a week and you saw no change. Either you're lying or your inhuman.
I'm going to be brutally honest..I lost all my extra weight by simply not eating and am not ashamed to admit it. I pretty much ate next to nothing for 6 weeks( just enough to get by without collapsing) and lost like 40-50 pounds.
^ This was in the Summer of '06.
There's no faster way.
But if you don't want to starve yourself, then:
A) No Soda B) No Fast Food C) Very limited candy D) Stay active
