Is the Bottled Water Waste? Earlier tonight, I was watched UK programmer, 'Panorama'. It was talked about Water Bottle, they was suggest if it ACTUAL waste or not? That was interesting programmer, because the science researches say Tap Water is prefect safer and more safer than bottle water. And the people doing blind at each different bottle brand included tap water. And they say Tap Water taste more better than bottle water, and more fresh. Bottle Water has been waste the plastic bottle more compare last few years ago. They say bottled water actual good for travelling, because you can hold the bottle and drink it later or so. People keep buy lots of water bottle today in the marketing, and all total around £2 billions. They also say if you is water bottle user, then re-use the bottle and fill with tap water. That would save you lots of money. The water is come from same place (sea, to could, to rain, etc) and they just make it as more expensive because they use the brand stamp on the bottle, but it was exactly same water as tap water. There was a bottle water which could cost up to £21 (Which mean around $40 -$50). So, I wonder what your point of view about the bottled water? Is the bottled water waste or not? For me:I ain't sure, because I do drink bottled water myself. So I not sure if it actual waste or not, really.

I like tap water better myself. I'll buy bottled water every once in a great while, but it's only so I can keep the bottles and refill them with tap water.
I love Fiji water though. That stuff is godly.

yeah I think bottled water is a waste of plastic and money and whatnot. The tap water is very, very bad around here, so I buy filtered water at 25 cents per gallon from Culligan. Also not a bad idea to buy a filter yourself. But actually purchasing bottles of water is a waste.

There's a reason "Evian" is "naive" spelled backwards...

Not in my mind. Most bottles get reused anyway. Also bottled water tastes better for some reason.

Tap water is regulated a whole lot more than bottled water. Bottled water is just tap water that's been run through an RO machine.

where I live currently I don't mind re-using an empty water bottle by filling it up with tap water. I just refrigerate the bottle for an hour or two before drinking it, because drinking luke warm tap water right out of the faucet just doesn't go down smooth. i think tap water varies regionally, though. when I lived in Orlando, Florida, you couldn't pay me to drink that tap water. it was so murky that when you poured it into a glass it looked like a cup of alka-seltzer. it smelled funky too.
when I lived with my parents I had a nice water purifier and I'd just keep re-filling the same water bottle. but I didn't take it with me when I moved out, so now I just buy cases of bottled water. its not the smartest thing financially, but its a lot more convenient for me to be able to just grab a bottle or two and bring them to work with me
