Is it possible to record HD programing (Comcast)? If so, do you need to buy something from your cable provider? Because there is no way in hell I can hook up my DVD recorder to my HD box,

you can record HD with an HD DVR or HD Tivo. You could hook your DVD recorder up to your TV and record, but it wouldn't be in HD.

I have a Comcast DVR (noraml) and I can still record HD. BTW, who can really tell a difference between HD and non-HD?

Yeah, you'll have to wait for some sort of Blu-Ray DVD recorder to be made available. Otherwise, the picture will be clear, but not true HD.

So pretty much right now, there is no way to record in HD?
Because I am on a forum where they trade recorded tapes and such and people always ask for RAW in HD, thats why I am asking.

If you have an HD TiVo box, then yes, you can record in HD. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that HD-DVD recrders do exist, although who knows what their status is now that the format is dead. There currently are no Blu-Ray recorders on the market. The best hope you have is encoding the 720P HD Feed onto your computer and uploading it to the net. That's how they do it on PWTorrents.
