As of right now, that's the only iPod I can afford, so it's it worth to buy?

i'm none to keen on ipods - stock earphones are naff, with ipods, it's like 'everyone has to have one...'cos it has white earphones' well, not exactly...but that's brand power for yer. there are better alternatives out there - take a look at creative's line of media players. plus, the shuffle has no screen, that's the point of it, but it's a silly gimmik imo.

Actually you should be able to get a good one cheaply now, now that everyone's disowned them in favour of iPod Touches.

iPod earphones suck. Mine broke for no particular reason. So I got some JVC ones instead.
I have an iPod suffle. It was a gift for Christmas/Birthday. I doubt I would have gotten one myself, but I do like it.
If you are urgently needing an MP3 player, get one. But I got a new phone recently, so I often use that for my MP3 source.
iPod Shuffle is louder though.

I have a shuffle and I see no problem with it. I don't really feel the need to carry thousands of songs with me. The 240 or so that the shuffle holds is plenty for me.

The iPod is a great piece of equipment when you pay for a higher end model, but for the price of a Shuffle, you can actually get a decent MP3 player that allows playlists and has a screen. Unless you use iTunes for the majority of your music purchases, there is no point in paying that much for a Shuffle.

I have an iPod and an older iPod shuffle. I just use the shuffle for when I mow the lawn in the summer, to be honest.
If you're serious about your music, then, no, it's not worth your money. If it's just going to be a player for you to be out and about with, or for uses like mine, than yeah, go for it.

If you have a credit card, or someone that does, try buying a refurb from Apple. I know someone that has, and hasn't had a problem with it yet. www.apple.com - click on Store, and near the bottom on the left. "Refurbished iPod"

Win one in Stacker for only a $1 or $2 . Or get a mp3 player that can hold as many songs as an iPod. Saves you money and enjoy the product at the same time.

The shuffle is more of an ipod you work out with really. If you dont wanna run and crapwith a big ipod attached to your arm. Or anything where you dont wanna hold a normal sized mp3 player. Only part that sucks is the no screen.
