Hey folks
I was attended to the court few days ago with my work. We just visited to the court with young people. Obviously I am youth worker, so that the reason I take young people to the court. So give young people an opportunity to see the court's process, what like at there, what happen in the court room, etc. So we can shows what like as real life when go to court. That actual impact to all young people, even they all was sit on the bench and watched the real situations (it was Magistrates' court which was open to any one to come to watched the real situations) There was a young lady (around 22 years old) was in the box because she haven’t to paid to the council tax. A man who fraud over £2,000, and many issues. And the judge was speaking to her and we all have to stand up when the judge stand up or make the way in the court room. Even we wasn’t involved or so. We all have to respected to the judge. And do what they say, etc.
Young people was impact and their faces can tell me that they was so frightened. And they was too silence and non-talking which they ALWAYS talking all of time. But that was first time that I see they was complete silence, and watched to BSL interpreter. Two young people was making nosie, they was talking, and the judge start shout "SILENCE!" to them. They suddenly silence.
To be honest, I do know I just bring young peoples to tour in the Magistrates' Court. I do feel like as my powerful was complete empty and I also nervous and worried about “what happen if they do that or myself” etc. That was huge impacted to me to heard what happen with young woman haven’t paid council tax, etc and see the naughty person went downstairs to the cell at under the court. (That was different from American’s Court, I believe so) and feel complete cold as well.
So I wonder have you ever got experienced like as that before or so?
