Alright heres the story. Tomorrow or Monday I will be moving into the bigger room in our house. We need to paint the walls in the room as they are a horrific color. My dad is letting me get whatever color paint I want. I was looking at paint in Walmart and saw some nice colors. I have a couple of colors in mind.
I had in mind two colors. Dark blue and light brown. I like both colors but aren't too sure how they'd look in a teenagers room. If anyone has there rooms any different colors I'd like too know or see some pics of how it looks. I really dont want to go with white as every room in my life has been painted white. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Ah. Well, any indicator of what kind of decor you'd have?

One of my friends painted his navy blue & it looks really nice. So dark blue would be similar. If anything, just buy a little paint & paint one wall. If you like it, keep it. If not, paint over it.

I'd just go with white. Any other colour you'd regret after a while.

dark blue is the most goldly color ever dude. the only down fall is that dark colored walls make the the room seem smaller

It depends on other things i think.
Will you be displaying your figures against the walls on shelves?
Are you buying new furniture or keeping the old stuff? either way, what colour is that?
I've been doing my room lately, and i pretty much took everything out of it and started from scratch. its not done so its very messy, but i had the theme of using White, beech and silver/chrome.
My bed has black/white designs, the actual bed itself is white, the walls are white. the shelves and desk are beech, the floor is beech. the light switch and plug holes are chrome, TV and PC monitor are silver, stereo is silver... get the idea?
Using a colour scheme helps pull everything together better in my opinion. Makes the place look more in uniform.
have you considered wallpaper?
Its something worth thinking about. I was painting my walls red and white. two walls white, two red. but the red, although looked great on the tin, came out very strong. i spend a lot of time in my room and i realised that it would strain your eyes looking at it. it was that strong.
So i settled on an all-white room. it looks clean and crisp.
but its your choice man.
