 I knew I was going to have to upgrade my camera, but I just didn't think I was going to have to do it so soon. The camera I was using crapped out on me with an electrical issue, & it was going to cost about $400 to get fixed. Pretty much pointless when I could buy the same model brand new for $599. I played with it today & I can already tell it was a great investment. |

Lol. I got paid Friday, went out yesterday and bought myself a new camera which cost $412.00, gave my parents $400 bucks, and paid my buddy back $170. Now that's broke  Lol Nice buy though. Enjoy |

I am officially not broke. I have no payments but my house payment and I've figured out a budget where I can buy all kinds of crap and still save money. I'm stashing up cash for rainy days, funding a Roth and buying crap I don't need with the extra money I have. Financially wise, life is good.

That's cool, though. Looks like an amazing camera. I'm not broke, but I can't really spend money seeing as I'm saving all my free money for Survivor Series tickets and Wrestlemania tickets next year. It's kinda hard to do with my 5 hour/per week work study job at school, but I'm managing, and still paying insane gas prices at the same time.

Awesome camera man.
I know what you mean being broke though... I don't have steady work. I go to the plasma bank and sell the occassional piece of artwork, but that doesn't give me too much...
Ah, the joys of being an artist. I'm just lucky I have close friends and family helping me.

Well, since you are technically a freelance pro photographer, I think you could probably deduct the expense on next year's taxes, if it works the same as it does for musicians.. if that lightens the blow a bit..
and I'm actually going to that April show, for once!
