For the first time in my life I'm a little scared. For the last two weeks I've been taking sleeping pills to fall asleep. Well i tried not to last night, and couldn't sleep. I think I'm starting to get dependent on them. I've actually just taken some. Ever since i got injured in a match the other week I've had this problem, how do i stop?

play xbox live, or watch some wrestling dvd's, in the dark, with a cover. it make take a while, but after a while youll be tired as hell. then do this again the next night, only start earlier.
i have sleeping trouble too, and nothing puts me to sleep like xbox live or wrestling dvds. (not criticizing them as being boring, but they just do.)

Yeah it wouldn't hurt for you to exercise or work out during the day. That will for sure make you tired. No offense but for someone who is a wrestler you spend a lot of time on this message board. No wonder you got injured.

Your not dependent on sleeping pills. You would need to be taking them for months on end every night.

stop /stɒp/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[stop] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation verb, stopped or (Archaic) stopt; stop·ping; noun –verb (used with object) 1. to cease from, leave off, or discontinue: to stop running. 2. to cause to cease; put an end to: to stop noise in the street. 3. to interrupt, arrest, or check (a course, proceeding, process, etc.): Stop your work just a minute. 4. to cut off, intercept, or withhold: to stop supplies. 5. to restrain, hinder, or prevent (usually fol. by from): I couldn't stop him from going. 6. to prevent from proceeding, acting, operating, continuing, etc.: to stop a speaker; to stop a car.
I always say to stop doing something you need to do just that, stop.

If your family history contains the addiction gene, it'll likely not be as easy as to "just stop" as if it they were a pack of Tic Tacs. If it really is a serious problem that you cant just get by without overwhelming withdrawal, professional help will be necessary. Quitting something you are addicted to is never fun. Just ask anyone currently in or out of recovery.

My brother and I just had this discussion last night. He started taking them a month ago and now he can't sleep without them. I've been taking them for about 3 years every day/night I want to sleep. I started taking them because I was working nights and couldn't sleep during the day. Now I take them because I can't sleep without them. If I don't take them I have a rough tossy turny kind of sleep.

Why don't i just stop, because I've seen them try too.
